Great tools, Ben! Questions: 1) I only want clip of interview subject waxing poetic, not me. How do I change my Zoom preference & should I mute my mic? During my debut interview, audio & video cut in & out crazily: both of us talking over each other. I do know if my mic is muted in Zoom, the herky jerky will cease 👿 2) Zoom feature already converts entire video to mp 4. And there’s an editing tool. Why would I need to convert again to square 5? 3). Thank you. Love Canva options! 4) Why would I want quicc captions for a short clip I plan to upload to social media? It seems a little “busy.” 5) Can quicc transcribe the audio to another language? My subjects are Spanish speakers & should I choose to add subtitles, can I add English subtitles (or English speakers to Spanish transcription) using quicc? Why wouldn’t AWS work as well, if not better? Bless you, Ben. Excellent content.

Hi Darcy. Thanks for watching. Great questions! First up. If you just want your guest to be recorded then you'll want to have zoom set to 'speaker' view (not gallery), and mute your mic. This will have them full screen in your recording. 2 - MPEG Streamclip is used here to edit out the portion of your video that you want to use on social. Zoom doesn't allow you to 'edit your videos' once they are recorded (as far as I know!) 4 - Quicc allows you to add 'burnt-in' captions to your videos to engage viewers who are watching in the feed with the sound-off (the majority of users on Facebook/Insta and LinkedIn have the sound off by default. I recommend thinking about the design of your frame and captions so it doesn't look too 'busy' 5 - Currently Quicc accomodates 11 languages and dialects, with more coming on their roadmap. It doesn't 'translate' to other languages though. Hope this helps!

Engage Video Marketing ✅1) Zoom allows me to trim front & back from entire video; I can’t edit a 60-90 second media clip from anywhere in the middle; 2) Thanks for your clarifications! 3) Yes, I’d want another language as subtitles, where necessary. 4) Seriously, gen-x is checking its social media on mute? Hahaha! 😂 My strategy is trial by 🔥 fire (or firing squad!) I’m going to mess around with AWS (free) & Canva (free.)

Just a heads up, when you have your voice over and music AND the interview sound all running around 2:29 it's just too chaotic to listen and understand what you are trying to say. I had to turn it off.

That shouldn’t be happening. Could be an issue with your audio capture device or microphone settings.

I would say you’d want to step up to a full video editing software solution for that. Camtasia is a good option. Or Final Cut Pro / premiere for next level.

That’s where you use the shape overlays in canva. Cover over the black sections with whatever you want :)

why after making the dimensions of the canvas 1080x1080 and bringing in my zoom closer so the faces were more centered - I post to IGTV and our faces our the only thing not in the video when posted???

Not sure what problem you're having here Noah. Perhaps the ratios are incorrect for IGTV and it's cropping them out. Hard for me to work out from this comment, sorry.

Good question :) you can either choose the RU-vid thumbnail template (which is 1080x720) or preferable would be custom dimensions (1920 x 1080) which would give you a full HD size widescreen video for RU-vid.

seemed many videos but still couldnt get answer to my question . every time when i record interview in zoom it shows the name id of both participant but when it converts in file that id name disappears and then i cant even put in imovie ...how can i keep those id name why the hell zoom removes it in recording

You can choose to record with the names and date/time text in the zoom recording settings. However in this video I share how to overlay nicer looking names (lower thirds) using canva.

Are you referring to Canva with the 5 minute limit? They have a file size limit of 250MB but I’ve never tried a video longer than 5 minutes using this process.

Ben, how do you correct the Zoom guest name that may appear on Video?

Hi. If you are referring to the speakers name that zoom overlays on the bottom left of the recording. Rather than correcting an error I'd probably suggest just covering it over with a new shape and text box using the approach out I outline in this video in Canva. Does that answer your question?

Hi thanks for the great video. I'm editing a video of 20 minutes on canva but when I'm trying to download it it says preparing your design and it looks like is done but stays frozen. Do you think that the file is too large for canva? Do I have to compress the video before uploading to canva? please help.

Hi Yessenya. Thanks for the comment. There is a file size limit for Canva of 250MB. That could be the problem. Other than that you will need to reach out to Canva support for troubleshooting the issue.
