Agreed! If I might ask since it has been 9 years. How did you get rid of your issue?

Me Personally I poured Boric Acid on all the Floors,on top of Dressers, Cabinets,Window Seals AND Sprayed Ammonia everywhere including Curtains, Ceilings,Walls and Put all Clothes up. They were Gone for about 2 Months. I personally Swept up Hundreds of them dead off the Carpet weeks later where I guess they were Nesting. They Have Came Back tho. I studied where they are coming from. They are Coming through Flying through my Bedroom Window screen because of My Air Conditioner. So what I am going to do Now. I am Going to take My AC out the Window and Close My Window. Repeat the same Process I did months ago by Spraying Ammonia Everywhere from the Ceilings to the Walls and Floors and on Everything. And I'm Going to Sling Boric Acid Everywhere. After I do those Treatments,I'm Going to Leave the House for about 5 days and come Back. They Should ALL be Dead by then because of the Treatments Also because of the Temperature of the House during those Days which should be at Least 90 with No Windows Open or Ac on because I have a House that's Hotter than Outside When No Cooling or Air is Coming in and that is Colder than Outside if no Heat is Warming it up.Yep. Try that because that's what I know so far. Carpet Beetles Reason for Being in Your Home could be Just Because they flew in and Using it to Nest if You don't Catch Them or Stop them OR You might have Dead insects, Rodent,Insects around that You Don't know about that they are Feasting on. They are basically like Maggots in another Form.

@@voltixD That Boric Acid Do them like Boric Acid do Roaches. It makes them run out where they are at to Escape,then They try to Run through the Boric Acid and Die IN IT.

Does it actually kill them? And then you have to deal with the root source larvae eggs I've got boric acid powder on way and yes I've sprinkled salt down so I'm curious does it actually work is it effective

If it was that easy to kill insects. Pest control would be a thing of the past. That's not true.

@@maricelagonzalez3049 ​ Maricela, I gave up on that idea and before summer even hits here on the east coast of New York in the suburbs going on Amazon to order special traps that attract THE FEMALE because once they make their way into your home they multiply at an arming rate and larvae hatch ... These insects are a menace and have invaded most of my things ( when found ) ... If the full grown one's are caught off guard by your presence they play dead, pls tell me how creepy is that ?!

Maricela, Btw, I have resorted to placing some of my belongs in plastic storage bins from Walmart for now ... In addition, those traps sold on Amazon that are made to attract ( the female beetle ) which HAVE A SPECIAL PHEROMONE to " lure " her to it ... At the moment idk what kind of trap it is but it looks like a small " boxy shape contraption ( paperish / cardboad ) trap with VENTS " ... It's getting pretty cold here on the east coast so the numbers of carpet beetles in my room have decreased ... Let me know if you have any other questions I could hopefully help you with ... Renee It IS very creepy! On the other hand that makes me feel somewhat sorry for them as it is a sign of fear and they’re just trying to survive. I don’t want to share my home with them either.

Deku They don’t bite. It is the larvae’s tiny hairs that cause an allergic reaction.

You have to keep at it. Put moth balls where you keep your coat.

kattnis Grace vacuum thoroughly, then sprinkle boric acid down where they’re visibly the most active! Also just google carpet beetle control and you’ll get tons of other treatment options

Maricela Gonzalez tbh I actually found a new method, which involves vacuuming thoroughly, and then spraying the areas where I’m pretty sure the eggs were with either apple cider vinegar or 100% rubbing alcohol. I layered my closet corners and most dark places with the alcohol and so far it has worked nicely for me, I did use ACV as well because apparently they won’t nest where they smell that. If you use the vinegar make sure it has the mother of the apple in it!! I did this every other day for about a week and it was about two months ago and it still seems clear!

Nyguard Plus, spray everything with them but wear a mask,goggles, n gloves, leave the place after for a few hours itll fumigate all of them
