Ty is like Superman. He has a fortress of solitude. I always knew you are a hero.

Most of us RU-vid creators do not want to ride alone. This is why we have a camera on every ride recording, and we chat to know one and everyone at the same time. Most RU-vidrs I know will not even go for a ride unless they have a topic and are ready to record. When they are done, they go home to edit their video gold. I do find myself riding a lot alone these days without cameras. Sometimes, your thoughts must stay your own and not share every waking moment of your lives with our fans. Ty, you’re so right. I can honestly say at 67 my entire life and career have been spent in some sort of social role. I was raised in a loving sharing environment. But…when I’m riding it’s all mine, just mine.

you hit the nail on the head- great perspective. I have rode alone for a long time now and I use it to reset my brain from the hustle of everyday life. I look forward to just getting away for a couple hours and think about absolutely nothing at all.

Thank you for your comments, I think you have successfully captured the co-joined concepts of solitude and motorcycling in your brief video. I am completely happy riding alone, but I also treasure the times I'm riding with my group or when my wife says, "hey, I want to go for a ride.". In my senior year High School yearbook we all selected a quote to put under our photograph and mine read: "I go alone to find myself, its so easy to get lost in a crowd." It is an interesting combination, but motorcycling and solitude seem to work very well for me.

I know what you are talking about. I too work remote. Love it but sometimes I need to get out just to see people and talk with real people. Wind therapy is real. Just can't help but feel good while riding your bike. My husband can come home cranky from work, and I'll tell him, go for a ride. Even if it is just to go up the street to the store, he just loves being on his TriGlide. He comes home very relaxed, yet his mind is re-energized. Yesterday was my first solo ride. Passed my class this last weekend and got my endorsement Monday. It was very different for me not to have my husband with me but I did it and am proud of myself for accomplishing this new journey on my own.

I take way more rides without cameras, and by myself, than I do the other way around. Other than riding, I rarely get time to be completely alone, so when I get my “helmet time”, it’s precious to me!! Great video Ty!!

"Motorcycles, the perfect hobby for those that like to be alone." Damn, when put into words that is very true for me. Only child, happy with my own thoughts and space. Leave me for hours, days and weeks and I'll be fine doing my own thing.

I ride alone, all by myself. When I ride alone, I prefer to be by myself! I really prefer solo riding. Selfish, but I enjoy solitude of solo riding. My chance to decompress, and get in touch with what is real. Best stress release I can have! Great topic Ty, enjoy your posts!

Very good points . I grew up with 2 brothers , and many , many cousins , so I am not a solitary person normally . I do enjoy my time alone on my motorcycle though - it gives me the time I need to think about how to handle any problems I might be facing in life .

90% of my riding is solo and I don't mind it at all. just having the time to do whatever and think about stuff is great.

I also find that I love riding with others, and being with friends, making new friends, and sharing the riding experience!! Explaining the different joys of riding is very difficult!😂😂

I've been living alone for a few months and I admit that I struggle with solitude even though it has certain advantages. On the other hand, I share your point of view regarding the bike, I really enjoy riding alone listening to my sensations and my thoughts and it's really a privileged moment that I appreciate, but it's Also good to ride in a group with friends. yep being i stay isolated so much and badly that i actually do end up forcing myself to get out and go to rallies so i do get out. Good video once again Ty maybe we can get out somewhere and ride somewhere sometime together. Hope to see ya out and about again sometime soon again especially with all this nice weather we've been getting lately. totally agree though about the point of view about solitude though..and some cases it's just what's needed to help calm the mind to get out on the bike alone.

In my job I am surrounded by people all the time so the occasional solitude to decompress is welcome now and then. Riding is usually one of those times.

Great vid, i am also an only child and like to be alone alot. i ride alone quite a bit, my long distant trips have been by myself then meet my friends in sturgis which we spend most of our time together riding and when not riding we are partying until its time to head home to ny. i like to ride with friends but i tend to get impatient when others are slow at getting their stuff together. i need to learn patience lol.. again great vid.

I was very nice and well put together video. You did there. Relate to pretty much all of it only child here myself. I remember growing up, always wanting a sibling, but had no choice to do a lot of the things I wanted to do alone. Now that I just turned 60 and basically still alone, ha ha. And I’m OK with that.😊

Not that I don't like being around others, but I can't focus and connect with God as well when I have the chatter and distractions of people around me.
