In today's video, I will show you how to enable 32-bit colour mode in Windows 9x versions in VirtualBox. You can apply this method on Windows 95, Windows 98 First & Second Edition, and Windows Millennium Edition.

I recommend VMWare Player as a alternative to VirtualBox when installing 9x since VMWare Tools (which works like Guest Additions) supports Windows 9x and the display driver supports custom resolution so you can get a 16:9 screen resolution

Thank you so much for your videos. if i may.. Ihave aorus x7 pro v3 laptop. I installed 4 ssd's inside with mbr. I installed win xp pro 32 bit on first one, then vista home premium 64 bit on the second. All works fine.. Updates and drivers goes well. But after instaling win 7 home premium 64 bit on the third one vista no longer works. Xp and win 7 work but vista got blue creen screen or in dos it says vista cant load winload.exe . I believe there is something wrong with boot loader. Would be great if you could cover multisystem instaling ..topic. Regards..

No problem! I don't know a fix for that. But the best troubleshooting recommendations I can give you are for you to boot into Windows PE (Preinstall Environment) and enter these commands in cmd: Bootrec /fixmbr, Bootrec /fixboot, and Bootrec /rebuildbcd. If that doesn't work, you can manually replace the old winload.exe in Windows Vista with a working one from Windows Vista and then try to boot again. If that doesn't work, you can try check disk, if that doesn't work, you can try the sfc /scannow command again in Windows PE (There are a couple of things you needs to do in order to gain administrator rights in Windows PE just so you know. If none of those work, let me know. I will definitely make videos covering multisystem installing.

What If I try this on a real machine running Microsoft Windows 9x or ME? Since it's universal driver

I don't think that it will work since that driver is made for Virtual Machines.

@@tecadami have tried running this driver on real hardware but in doesn't work. you just get this "rundll32'' error. ): if you know how to fix this, please help me!

@@imamidot. I would suggest that you try to boot into safe mode and uninstall that driver and or install the default Microsoft display driver that comes with your version of Windows. Let me know if that helps! Also I do want to clarify, do you get this error when you boot up your PC? Or when you try to install the driver? Because this driver is meant for Virtual Machines only.

@@tecadam i got this error after i pressed "apply" in display options window. But i already fixed the problem. i found an old graphics card laying around and installed the driver for it. And now i have 32bit collors and 800x600 resolution. (:
