How do you like this dark theme, peeps? ... Forgot to mention in the video ... each time when JDownloader gets updated and then restarts - your dark theme will get messy. All you need to do is restart the app one more time and the dark theme will come back looking decent as it should look.
@@DonnyCane The same goes here, thank you for watching. Each time when JDownloader gets updated and then restarts your dark theme will get messy. All you need to do is restart the app again and the dark theme will come back. Forgot to mention this in the video.
@@Gero-yj9ek Tried it only once? Try to do it all over again. Did you keep any of the settings from the video or lost all the configurations you made after restarting the application?
Thank you. It's no longer blinding my eyes being the only app without a dark theme on my monitor. In the LCD era this wasn't a as much of a problem as it is now in the LED era.
Thank you for watching. It is still useful this video guide. Only thing I need to improve is that progress bar download slider. Seems to me I will have to make a sequel. LOL
Thanks for the guide. After using it I immediately looked around for another dark mode theme and ended up with the "Dracula Theme" (Silly name, I know.). This one has a much cleaner and more coherent look, which makes the UI much more readable. Also, it is a true dark mode theme from the start without having to change any color codes.
YOU ARE A TREAT :) thank you for this, the first thing i did after setting up Jdownloader2 was to download your video as an offline tutorial just in case i loose my backup you mentioned in the end....again, thank you :)
You are welcome. I got used to it also. It is a bit of work but it is worth it. Don't forget to export your settings and store it in the cloud for future use or another computer.
As a Mac user, this is the only way I was able to complete this theme since I couldn't find an editor to change the backup. So thank you for this cuz I had jd2 seriously messed up, and now it's wonderfully dark. As a note I also had that error with that 4th color field, so thank you for also showing how to fix that! And great music also!
Thank you for watching. Yeah know exactly how it feels like when I "seriously mess up" my jd2. Remember to export your settings and all your hard work and put the file somewhere safe to be reused eventually. 😁
@smooth.IT.operator it's the striped light blue and dark blue for the Progress Bar. It's more noticeable when it's at 100% but hopefully you can help me out with this pls
@@RAVINTER This worked for me, but now my JD2 has a thin white boarder around the app window, anyone happen to know if there's a setting/value to change for that to get it to match the rest?
Thank you for watching and for the useful feedback. Honestly I downloaded long playlists but never entire channel. What happens when you manually add the URL of the channel to link grabber to analyse it?
Worked for a 2 months then java update, start up error. coundn't remove jdownloader2 program, so reinstalled it. Started up but lost my dark theme. Tried changing to Black_eye and it doesn't change the color to dark upon restart of jdownloader2. All other color changes did work. Any thoughts?
@@brianbaldino3496 Hi! Windows apps at its best. Was about to say that this could be very problematic that you can't remove jd2 program "normally" with uninstaller. But you managed it seems by turning on this special option. Great.
Thank you for watching. I would suggest you make a Windows virtual machine, put JDownloader2 inside and play around with it using the method shown in the video. Happy exploring.
Thank you for watching. So you applied all the color codes & settings but nothing in the interface of the app changed? Is the Windows local user you are using standard or administrator?
@@Italospontos Sometime when it updates and restarts it might get corrupt, so just restart one more time and will be dark themed & how you want it again.
Thank you for watching. Just have fun to your heart's content with other themes or experimenting with you fav colors. If it becomes unreadable hope you will be able to get to default without reinstalling the entire app.
Am i the only one who thinks that jdownloader in black looks worse than before? idk why but my eyes start to hurt, i will uninstall it and reverse it to white, but thanks for your tutorial anyway
@@smooth.IT.operator or maybe i failed to adjust something right, my main problem is, that the download progress is blue / white. Is it possible to change that to grey as well?
