My last out he was a 1993 Audi S4 with a big turbo, in let me just tell you it was fast the car! I got two days ago is a 2015 Audi S Q5… Which I haven’t even tried this in yet but I will be happy to give it a whirl tomorrow🤷🏼♂️
I'm with you all the way. Bought mine 3 weeks ago & already I'm calling it Dr Hyde. It's the best of both worlds. Dr Jekyll, nice & peaceful, Mr Hyde? the beast you want it to be! Oh, mine is a convertible. All the best.......
@@michaelloach9461 I got the 4 door sport back. Shit is fucking amazingly quick for 330hp got a buddy who does the ecu chip tuning writing code for mine right now.
That was pretty quick, if I might say.. I have a 08 audi a8l quattro 4.2l v8, but I don't think it's equipped with a LANCH CONTROL SYSTEM... but do see an S on my gear shifter
I just bought an audi 2013 s5 that was babied it has a hundred thousand miles on it n before that I been driving an 2017 maserati sq4 and that car is a beast but there are things such as corning is not as nice as the s5 but the launch is insane ...Love the s5
For those with a ZF trans with a torque converter. 1. Engine warmed up. Engine oil, not just coolant. 2. Transmission warmed up because if the car doesn't have a warm transmission, AMAX will not be engaged. 3. Sport/Dynamic mode. 4. Traction Control off 5. Wheels straight. 6. Press brake hard. 7. Release the brake after the RPMs stop rising. If you have no aftermarket transmission tune on a torque converter transmission or it isn't an RS6/7, your car doesn't want you to press the gas and brake at the same time. This is why you can't hold it too long or the car will cut power. AMAX is a higher torque shift which will occur on the 1-2 and the 2-3. You only have so may AMAX launches on a torque converter car OR it is the SAME on a DSG car. Once you have exceeded the number of AMAX launches or DSG launches, the transmission won't do it EVER again. Transmission tunes do not eliminate the counter, but they can increase it to something like 20 000. Edit. BTW, When I was at the track, the only VAG guys that knew how to launch their car was a Golf R and an Audi S3. Everybody else sucked. My A6 squatted, launched hard, and automatically banged off shifts at 7250 in manual mode as it disappeared into the night. Didn't get a chance to teach these guys but their 1/4 mile times were all over the place and slower than they should be.
I have 2009 A4 B8 S-Line 3.0 TDi Quattro. Lowered on Bilsteins, with a stage 1 map. Oh - it's a 6-speed manual, btw. I fucking love my car :) PS: Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S on all corners too. WooHoo!
Great demo but I'm a bear for the zero to sixty numbers, what engine you're running and whether stock or not. Being old and old fashioned I'd also love to know what the quarter mile numbers are if you would indulge me. Thanks
Hey man, late to the party. 2013 S5, just got the ESP switch replaced to try this. Followed the steps, no dice. Dash only displays M1 after switching to Dynamic+Sport Mode+ESP Sport. Not sure what I’m missing Edit. You need to toggle sport mode with the shifter by pulling down while in Drive
Yeah, same man. Have you tried it since the two months you commented? I just bought a 2016 A6 C7.5 and am in the same boat as you were. XD Did it work?
@@Allan003 I'm sorry I should've worded this better 😭 I was just trying to clarify that it wasn't a 2022 vehicle. I was so close to buying it too, but I got money stolen from me 💀
If you have the money skip the S5 and go straight to the RS5. I'm a B8.5 A4 driver, it has a few problems so I'm selling it and as soon as it sells I'm going for the B8.5 RS5
@@SMP47356 nice!! better upload videos of that RS5 beast! Those are hard to come by and went up in value in my area of Canada. Definetly collector's item
i did some 0-60s on my car before tune, stage 1, and stage 2 tune on my channel! i definitely need to try using dragy or something to really get an accurate number. I'm now catless so i'm sure i can go sub 4's. Definitely feels like it haha
Works on 3.2 v6 q5. But its not launch control. Just bypasses computer so it doesn’t fart out when you release the brake with revs. And with good reason as fake “launching” can fuck up the drivetrain in short order.
This only applies to S-Tronic models, right? I have a manual A5, but dynamic only changes throttle respons, I think. About to buy a A3 180hp, with S-Tronic, maybe luck with that ;)
No. In the video you are watching a DSG car which can have a more violent shock to the car. A torque converter car will squat the rear and raise the front end as it strains against the brakes and launch very hard. If the car doesn't like it and you have no trans tune, it will remove the throttle input.
mm quik question, how do i know my audi has a launch control, cause if their is not launch control the engine or transmission is going to problably explode by doing so
TBH i have tried everything but my audi S3 8p just dont want to launch anymore. I cant remember the buttons to go check if the launch is on or off or even just to change te revs??
I know this video is old but does anyone know how to do this in a manual a5 with the 2.0t. I've tried this and it just bogges down and then goes. IDK if it's a power issue or what but any info is helpful.
My car doesn’t have drive select either. I have a ‘13 dual clutch auto. In mine you just pull back on the drive select lever to get to “s” mode on the centre stack as he shows, and follow the rest of the instructions in this video. Took me weeks to figure that out. Lol
como evitar el ruido en el techo panorámico. Ya he realizado una limpieza y mantenimiento, pero me sigue crujiendo. Me gustaría si conoces alguna solución poder aconsejarme. Muchas gracias
