I used to be reliant on others, got used to relying on my own company Sure it gets lonely sometimes, but for peace of mind its great At the end of the day, the only person that has your back/best interests at heart is yourself My best advice for someone wanting to venture down this path is keep your mind busy, always little things you can do Funny thing about this is even though I am content, other people assume you have something wrong with you because you spend so much time alone lol
I’m glad you’re enjoying your own company. Being alone doesn’t make you lonely and it takes much confidence to hang out outside alone. However the only time you start to question your decision to go outside is when you see others with their partners. Also, is the museum like your weekend church

Macadamia and Maple Tarts Ingredients: 1/2 cup (110g) firmly packed brown sugar 1 tablespoon cornflour 2 tablespoon maple syrup 25 gram butter, melted 2 eggs 2 tablespoon cream 1 teaspoon orange rind, finely grated 1 cup (140g) unsalted macadamias 2 teaspoon icing sugar Pastry: 1 1/4 cup (185g) plain flour 1/4 cup (55g) caster sugar 125 gram cold butter, chopped coarsely 1 egg Method: 1. Make pastry. Process flour, sugar and butter until crumbly. Add egg, process until combined. Knead on floured surface until smooth. Cover, refrigerate 30 minutes. 2. Divide pastry into six portions. Roll portions, one at a time, between sheets of baking paper into rounds large enough to line six deep 10cm-round loose based flan tins. Lift rounds into tins, press into sides, trim edges. Prick bases all over with fork. Refrigerate 30 minutes. 3. Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan-forced). Place tins on oven tray, line each with baking paper then fill with dried beans or uncooked rice. Bake 10 minutes. Remove paper and beans carefully from tins, bake a further 5 minutes. Cool pastry cases. 4. Reduce oven temperature to 160°C (140°C fan-forced). 5. Combine brown sugar and flour in medium bowl, whisk in syrup, butter, eggs, cream and rind. Divide nuts among pastry cases, pour over maple mixture. Bake about 25 minutes, cool. Refrigerate tarts for 30 minutes. 6. Serve tarts dusted with sifted icing sugar.
Whenever I want to be alone I become a recluse and use that time to myself to either read a book and get lost in that world but sometimes I go surfing because it's my happy place and it has gotten me through really tough mental breakdowns. But since I've been busy with work and university especially since I'm a marine biology major. I find myself going to batting cage to hit some baseballs because it's been a long ass time since I've done anything baseball related since high school. But yeah I prefer being alone because it gives me a sense of peace in some weird way because I don't have to worry about what's going on around me
