I've literally never completed the game on my own and tbh I don't want to. I like my ugly house, mismatched blocks, patchy farm, and neglected farm animals. I really enjoy your take and I look forward to seeing more of your content. I love the pacing.
your use of replay shots to further tell the story and make us feel like we're walking around the world with you is goated. Like you think it's just an establishing shot of you going down the hill, but then you take damage and you have the comical turn back around to stare at the offending block that was too high up, or walking around the village but you notice the overhang on the well. It's so subtle and so beautiful. Also I cannot wait to see all your builds, you play your skills really close to the chest, taking it slow, obv, but you are already adding SO many tiny details to the dirt hut that only a builder would think of.
Its nice to see, that there are still people who enjoy minecraft (like me), not speedruning, nor doing some crazy bulids, mod etc. Just good to know, that old minecraft is not dead.
For the past years I've been watching things like Hermitcraft, even wanted to do some mega base of my own, speedrun through the beggining, but now I remembered about my first world which has been long lost where I've had the most fun. Started out with a cubical dirt hut, after which I settled down by a lake, got a very cubical house, but it was nice. it was the only world in which I had a dog and a horse. I remember building these farms that you find in villages, but stacked on top of each other and also the mine, I had so much fun building a railway over the river to the mine. It was all so ugly, but damn was it fun
@@SoupSoupOfficial Ye, I feel kinda sad that I won't be able to discover Minecraft again as I did back then, not from 0 since I had watched a lot of gameplay before having started, but quite close to 0. However this series is incredible, you are just showing us that it doesn't matter how much minecraft you know, you can have just the same amout of fun, heck, you are building beautiful stuff I never thought about building just because it would be "a waste of time" or because I'd rather keep materials for future stuff, not realising I was barely enjoying the game. hope your channel grows. ps: damn you have a calming voice
I really can relate to this, just started a world last week just trying to have fun again, played for a day, stopped, watched this video, and picked it up again
This came along at the absolute perfect time, I've been wanting to get into minecraft, and I have been looking for a series of someone just playing minecraft casually
slow pace minecraft videos dont do well, attention span keeps getting shorter so new fast pace editing and doing more and more advanced things need to be done to get views.
I’ve been getting back into Minecraft beta. I never thought I’d like it but I gave it a try and discovered the entire golden age community around it. I think the mix of nostalgia and simplicity are what make it so special
It's honestly highly refreshing to see a series dedicated to how to enjoy the game again as well as another creator making a similar style of relaxing content. It feels very personal and close to the heart rather than an abstract and far away idea. Thank you so much for making this series with the quality that you do, Soup. You've earned a sub and you most definitely deserve it 🙌🏾🔱♠️
Finished the video now, and thoroughly loved it! Really enjoyed the off person camera with what you are saying in game (rather than a voice over) really made me feel part of your world, and the music is so relaxing. Looking forward to episode 1!
this video got me so excited to play minecraft again and for more of your series to come out. I have barely played Minecraft this year I always felt burnt out when I would start an insane mega project that was unrealistic to get finished and give up but this reminded me of the smaller things that make the game enjoyable. The music you use is also super cool
Watching this after the other two episodes because you deserve the engagement and this is exactly the goal I had in mind in my recent return to minecraft. I'm putting effort into making my world in a way I haven't since I was much younger and it's really rewarding so far, thanks :)
Clicked on this expecting a video essay, not disappointed at all. Honestly, the concept of this is brilliant and well laid out, I look forward to seeing your journey here - Hopefully, I can try some of the things you do and get inspired to play Minecraft again myself!
Wow! You hit the nail on the head with the start of this. I feel exactly like this when watching Minecraft videos which I love. But this has all the charm that I love about Minecraft, with phenomenal sound, music, and editing! Keep going and you'll go far with this!!
Just found your channel after watching a few videos talking about how Minecraft doesn’t feel the same anymore. I’m so glad to find a channel that doesn’t over edit and isn’t caffeinated with constant subtitles flashing on the screen. Breath of fresh air for sure!
I've been looking for something like this for a while now! Thank you so much for taking this initiative. Nothing much has happened and it's already more interesting to watch than those mega, fast-paced, huge-goal driven let's plays. I hope this world continues for a while! Keep it up and take your time! ✨
This actually made my little spark of passion for playing Minecraft be alive again, I’ve been playing but not really enjoying it and I thought that I had to get some help with motivation and getting back on track. Minecraft has always been a fun game to me and I want it to stay fun. Genuinely, thank you.
Something I might want to try next playthrough is to do more than just search for cool stuff in the world gen. My last playthrough never stuck as long as I wanted because I don't think the things I saw were ever complete. Instead of just leaving cool world gen as is, I should make something there to strengthen the connection and give them their story. It helps to sell myself and those around me what I imagine and gives me what I need to look forward to. That along with tweeking the game settings like keepInventory and spawn being set even when the bed is destroyed might be what I need to create a game to remember. Minecraft is not just a system, it's also a canvas. Not quite like Dwarf Fortress where you build the world to create your stories to be recognized as your dwarves make the story with you, but more so that you need to use your tools to built the stories as a whole.
I’m not even kidding this is the third time I’m watching this series in the past 2 days that’s how good it is. I think it’s safe to say that Soup is now my favourite RU-vidr.
It's really a breath of fresh air seeing something like this. Funnily enough before I even watched this video today I started up a new hardcore world and spent my first 10 days just running around exploring and had a blast. Usually I'd try to run through the game, trade with villagers and stay in a village the entire game but instead I just spent time running through the world and it was so much more fulfilling. I'm glad I'm not the only one tired of seeing those megafarm and megabases on youtube and realizing just how time consuming and grindy it is to make things like that.
RU-vid nowadays got great in terms of recommendations! You know, that's the exact type of LPs and game style I always enjoyed, smooth and not rushed. Subscribed, now I'll watch both Bugmancx and you, you both do great series! Hope it'll make me enjoy the game like in the old days, without worrying and hurrying, :P
Thank you so much for making this video and continuing to make vids like this. The slower pace is so nice nowadays. Also your voice is perfect for this i just love listening to you talk
this video was on my recomended bcuz im burning out on minecraft, but this video help me bcuz you just made me realize that minecraft its a slow pace game like when we all played minecraft for the first time, the terror of the first day on your new world bcuz you don't know how to survive the first night and you just explore when you just got in the world and not like now that you go to a tree and start punching it and go mine iron and find diamonds already in an hour, you just made me remember that time when I was 12 or 13 y/o when I was playing minecraft multiplayer world on the ipad with my brother and we just go with it in that world, we just go and create what was in our immagination and while the time passes and we grew up older, I kinda lost the meaning of playing Minecraft and Thank you for making me remember what it meant, and you got a new Subscriber
I love how you’re different from the other RU-vidrs. Instead of rushing and doing 100 days in Minecraft, you relax and take things slow which makes this game so fun. Can’t wait to watch this whole series!
I remember years ago I just hopped on with friends and played in our survival world. We didn't have op gear or giant bases all over. It was just us spending time together wondering what will happen next.
Amazing video. I started Minecraft again after a long time and was kinda lost what I needed to do and this reminded me to just go with it and slow down and don't rush too much. I Remember always building a dirt hut at first and will do that now again, thank you :)
This was really relaxing to listen to, and I felt engaged through the whole video. Good work, friend. I've started playing Minecraft again, albeit modded, but this is the approach I'm trying to take myself
"Why do we play Minecraft? For the joy of discovery." That is exactly how I feel. I have always had my best experiences playing this game when I slowed down and took my time. Really investing in the world and spending time exploring everything this game has to offer. Trying to rush through this game and build massive farms to try and keep up with what others are doing on RU-vid always leads to rapid burnout for me. I love the pace and thoughtfulness of this video. I wish more people made videos like this!! Keep up the great work! 😊
This video just made me play minecraft again . I used to play but i started playing hardcore and beating the game in 5 days . Thank you for getting ne back to classic minecraft😊😊
Can't believe it took me 4 weeks to come across this gem. The climate of Minecraft on RU-vid really has made it hard to enjoy it like the good ol' days, but this video really.. JUST... works. Thankyou for this gift, playing the game with no goal but just to explore.. travel.. enjoy.. take on things as they come. This is so well made and you deserve more viewership. You my good sir, have earned yourself a subscriber. I can't wait to see what you get up to on this in-depth, enjoyable and lore rich world, and taking us back to the ROOTS of this lovely game!
This was an instant-sub for me. I've always found myself "taking a break" before the next update, starting a new world, and then...repeat. I go into my most-current world, check on my farms, and that's it. Time to get back to the core gameplay!
nice video! Finally a minecraft series that the content creator doesn't scream at me every 2 seconds, and didn't completed the game in the first episode! You just earned a subscribe, I hope this series will continue!!!
I’ve been looking for something like this for a while now, I love the idea! Great video, keep up the good work! I just lost my main world, this video is a nice motivation for restarting everything but without worrying about not being fast enough :)
this made me relieve my youg beliefs of "it's a place of where dream is real" "missions and task is just a part of the endless dream world thy shall purposes would never end"
broo this video brought back so many memories about like starting a brand new world with all my friends and we were all just happy and just enjoying it, so thank you :)
I totally agree with you man, Minecraft when I used to be in 4-5th grade used to be so much fun, but now I miss the same feeling, i wish I could feel it the same way I felt it first time. RU-vidrs like you , another guy named 'low res bones' really motivate me to start playing again. Minecraft is not about becoming the most powerful, its more, it's about exploring, crafting , building, farming and so much more ! I grew up with this game and i have soo so many memories attached with it. I am sure I will watch your series :)) also you got a sub ❤
man your underrated I love the survival aspect of not speedrunning and building planets and trapping every mob. Ive always enjoyed these type of "let's plays"
sometimes even the smallest of creators give me more inspiration then larger ones. Thanks to you Soupsoup i can now watch a high quality playthrough without any intense stuff Lookin' for more vids like this!
Here is my advice, as I have succeeded: 1.take a chill pill. You don’t need to get netherite within an hour. Take your time. 2.make it different. You won’t want to play if you don’t remember it. Make a different base, play differently. 3.Enhance the game. Minecraft is a sandbox, an empty canvas. Install Lunar client and customize your game. If it feels different it will get you through the early game.
This is really underrated, I didn't expect this video to be so professionally laid out. I really liked it, thanks for making this. I hope you keep making content like this. :)
I really love your perspective because in a lot of ways its reflective of our in real life reality. We always want more to achieve and we forget that the simple stuff is the best part to appreciate. Not to say the big projects aren't impressive and growth is always important and you should be proud of it. But I feel we rush and sometimes our want for bigger and better can get in the way of us appreciating every moment. Your gameplay although simple is backed by a very grounded, excited to discover more commentary which is refreshing. With mods (although cool!) we start to criticize minecraft as if it is not enough you know? And yes we can always want improvement and minecraft is ever-evolving which is something to appreciate as well, but I think our mindset is the thing that can get in the way of us enjoying minecraft for what it is in this exact moment. I'm excited to see what you do with the place!
This is making me think of starting my own series similar to this, I’m not the best at the game but this showed me videos don’t have to be super crazy to be good
Thank you so much for this this is so cool I'm glad someone found about this and then acted on it You are so good at what you do Thank you and God bless you
Wow, your voice is real soothing, aside from how easily you survived the first night, this really brought me back to the early mc letsplays. Back then, the early game used to really invoke that feeling of lonliness. I feel enjoying minecraft doesn't have to do with how we play the game. It has to do with mojang who have no idea how to be game devs.
This video randomly popped up on my recommended, and I’m in love with the simplicity of your content. The fact you’re brand new to RU-vid also surprised me. I’ve been doing Minecraft videos for awhile now, trying to find my niche within the community, and I definitely want to build off this idea of bringing the simplicity back to Minecraft Let’s Play series. I’d love to see more of this from you and other creators leading into 2024! Oh, and I subscribed!
Your intro... That's exactly why I own a vanilla realm it's been up for 4 years now, just so you can build and enjoy the game, play with friends, communicate with other nations, just a realm to enjoy and do exactly what you did in this video🤷🏾♂️
This man just put some joy again in minecraft. Reminds me of the old days when we were at my grandma's we would play minecraft and play like some minigames we made ourselves. Thanks SoupSoup to make me enjoy minecraft vids again❤
I recently bought a cute texture pack for minecraft and I love playing in creative mode and building shops, houses because when I look at the empty terrains I love imagining a cute town or buildings that just makes me so happy
love this so much man. you perfectly described how i've been feeling, especially as someone who's been playing since 2012. i might make a new world along side you! subbed, liked, and all the things. can't wait to see where you take us!
this reminds me of youtube videos I watched back when minecraft originally came out, with the more down-to-earth commentary and just being amazed and immersed in stuff
I’m not gonna lie, every second of this video is amazing, i really loved how you are taking things slower and that it isn’t a 100 day thing challenge. And as Jango Fett said: “Your just a simple man trying to make his way through the galaxy”
I like how you just play Minecraft as you want to play. Though as a RU-vidr I've noticed that some people just have fun making massive projects. I mean play how you want but I want to make farms and have fun building into the sky. I think this highlights the issues with other videos about making Minecraft fun again because they just don't get that it isn't about nostalgia but playing a game you love and having fun playing it your way. Great video!
I share a similar mindset on the game and have been craving for a Minecraft content creator like you, just subbed and I am extremely excited to see your journey on RU-vid and through Minecraft!!
