My hot tub keeps tripping the breaker. I went in and found that water was leaking out of the control box. upon closer inspection, I found that water was actually coming out of the electrical wires connect to the motherboard that originated from the circulation pump! Have you ever seen anything like this? Is it safe to assume the pump has failed and allowed water to flow up through the sheathing of the electrical wires?
Can you show me how you would replace the heating relay board on this exact hot tub? We got giant stranded wires out into it, and it looks like this tub on this video has the same wiring.
The spa in this video is a 2005 Vanguard wired 230v. Heater relay boards are fairly simple to replace. You basically take photos beforehand, unplug the wires, install the new board and plug the wires back in. Call us here at Backyardplus if you need help. Give us your spa serial number and we can help you get the right heater relay board and install it correctly. 805-541-9000. Thanks!
My circ pump is coming on and turning off in like 10 second intervals and tub is not reaching full heat. I removed it and it spins freely inside. Bad pump?
That sounds like a relay issue. Try plugging your circ pump directly into a 120 volt circuit with an extension cord and see if it turns on and off. If it doesn't, your problem is the relay on your motherboard.
