If you're like me, you probably don't really enjoy the trade evolution mechanic. If I want to get an Alakazam, I should be able to do that on my own within my own game without relying on anyone else. So, I found a solution that I wanted to share with you if you are playing on an Emulator.
Every main series Pokemon game released in the US up to Gen V is supported, from Red to Black 2 and everything in between.

The Universal Pokemon Game Randomizer (Emulators Only) is an extremely powerful tool that allows you to customize your game just to how you want it, which includes being able to evolve any Pokemon without having to trade. Watch the video for step-by-step instructions.

NOTE: If you are using DeSmuME, be advised that your save STATE and save FILE are two completely different things. If you are looking for your save FILE, you will find it in DeSmuME (folder) and then the Battery folder within that - then the save FILE will have a .dsv extension. Do not use save STATE, as the instructions I have provided are specifically for the save FILE, located in the Battery folder. Hope this helps.

NOTE: About Save Files and Save States
The instructions in this video are for your Save FILE, not your Save STATE. The difference is that your Save STATE is what you create inside the emulator menu itself. The Save FILE is what you create when you save in-game by pressing Start and selecting Save from inside the game menu. The Save FILE is then stored in a folder that can be accessed at any time within the file structure of the emulator you are using. You should already understand a little about where the ROMs (games) and Save FILES are kept by having already researched this on your own. Keep in mind that the Save FILE and the ROM (game) are two separate items. What this means is, if you take your ROM and move it somewhere, you have to move the Save FILE as well to link them up and sync them. At no point in this process are we deleting the Save FILE so if you don't see any data in your ROM for your previously existing saves, you either missed a step or didn't move your Save FILE properly.
Note: I am playing Pokemon Emerald in the video, but this works with any game up to Gen V (but the GitHub link above has an updated version of the Randomizer that works up to Gen VII).
