If so, could you breed dittos for more dittos? I mean, it's not possible because genderless pokemon are coded to be genderless no matter what gender number is assigned to them, but it's fun to think about at least
@@rysea9855 No, there are some genderless pokemon that can breed such as Manaphy. The issue isn't that Ditto is genderless, it's that the Ditto egg group is incompatible with the Ditto egg group.
@@rysea9855 Not necessarily, while a pokemon might be genderless for gameplay purposes we know for a fact that Lugia can be female since an explicitly female Lugia appears in both the manga and anime.

@@mythikbeast6404 My bigger guess would be that you would need to set up a ditto breeder and swap out the pokemon at the moment the egg is supposed to be laid. Which will be impossible to figure out without actively looking into the code itself, but it could potentially work.

Combee was my first and only shiny I caught legally in the wild. I was gonna surprise trade it since it was a male but....I'm totally down with having a trans pokemon.

I knew my Combee was different the day I first catch him. While all the other Combees played with action figures he played with dolls. He was interested in make-up, and dresses, and often talked with a lisp. It took a while to get used to but I accepted my Combee for who he was. I'll admit I was shocked at first and almost disowned him but it his choice who he wants to be and he wants to be a Vespiquen cause that who he felt like he was.
"Only useful for shiny hunting and getting the wrong gender" IDK....seems pretty useful if you have an IV bred Pokemon that isn't the right gender and you don't want to go through the work of getting the correct one.
@@focampo5672 Azurill! Azurill has a 25/75 M/F ratio, and Marill has a 50/50 ratio. If Azurills gender 'number' is between that 26-49 making it a female Azurill, when it evolves it will become a male Marill because the 26-49 range is in the male range.
@@Jdudec367 Chances are that it wasn't intended back in Gen 3 when Azurill was introduced, but it's never changed, so it probably isn't considered a 'glitch' per se.

How about trying this method but having a pokemon that can use the stone to evolve be the first in the party as well? I would think the stones arent working because that 1st pokemon is fully evolved and can't use the stone so you couldnt even scroll down if you wanted to
Hatched a male shiny salandit just hatching for the Dex. Pissed to say the least.. Looked up a method. Found this. STILL works. evolved my male shiny Salandit to a female shiny Salazzle. Much love Austin :D
With the release of Pokemon home you can use this exploit to get some evolved Pokemon at level one. Some people are trolling by asking for a level 1-10 Pokemon that are evolved froms that evolve after level one. I did this and traded a level one decidueye (sorry if I spelled that wrong) for a shiny naganadel.
Caught multiple male shiny Combee in PLA and thought I could do this glitch once I transferred to SwSh😩 it is unfortunately patched. Probably old news to most, but this was my first time trying lol

I have an idea on how this could be useful. In pokemon Home GTS some people leave pokemon (most often legendaries or shiny) and say they want for example a Tyrantrum lvl 10 -20. Of course, you can't get that because Tyrunt becomes Tyrantrum at lvl 39. Buuut With this method you should be able to get a Tyrantrum and by doing that get a bunch of cool pokemon,
There's a tool you can use to check if it's illegal, granted it's the same tool you can use to create modified mons but it's useful to check if something in a trade looks legitimate or not. You basically create the same thing in the tool, met level, location, shiny, moveset and it'll quickly tell you if things don't add up correctly. If you're interested it's PKHex.
