I really hope that I can find someone here in Columbus, OH, USA to do this for me. I believe this will be the best nail for me. I have thyroid problems and my nails split and "I want pretty nails too!!" Thanks for all of your awesome videos. Just fabulous.
Hi Grammi Z, have you ever heard of Vitry Nail Treatment? I use it and it does wonders for me. My nails used to be very weak before I started using it.
I too have the same thing happen to me thanks to Hashimoto's. I have tried to use acrylics before but every time I had acrylics they always had tips. Which is not what I wanted. So you aren't alone.
Oh my gosh! Kirsty is so talented!! Every video I see of hers blows me away!! It would make my life if she could do my nails but it won't ever happen. So talented Kirsty, really impressive.
YES!!! I have been trying to figure out how to explain the length of my natural nails. I train horses for a living and can't have too long of nails, for obvious reasons. My natural nails are very strong and I never have an issue with them breaking. I also love having them pretty. I'm getting ready to purchase a bunch of the Naio Nails stuff (thanks to your amazing videos) but I would love more ideas for this length of nail (the one in this video). Fun stuff without needing gems added as they catch in my work. I would LOVE a video series for those of us with a more athletic length nail.
Mary Cook Hi Mary.. I'm a nail tech and you can take your nails to a hole new look.. You can encapsulate just about anything.. She has many vids to show ya what I'm talking about.. Just make sure you order yourself some clear powder.. Its so much fun when you can have blingy nails .... Just take your time figure out a pattern and go.. If you are a beginner don't buy the rapid set monomer there is no fun filing and filing... If you have any questions is be more than happy to give you advice.. Kristy is an amazing nail tech... I love her sparkling personality and she does make It look real easy.. Your non dominate hand is a challenge.. Another reason why you shouldn't order the rapid monomer.. Have fun with it..
Mary Cook I train horses aswell. When I started out I had gorgeous nails. Nice length... within a week a horse spooked and the lead ended up snapping my middle finger nail because it was dry and naked and brittle, hurt like SIN!!! Now they are just naturally incredibly short just from always doing stuff...
She does such a beautiful job. Very patient with her clients in her models I like her and she knows what she's doing she enjoys doing nails and does them well. Very artistic and creative, I admire about her... Wish she was my nail tech..
It would be really cool if Kirsty explained how much she would usually charge in the salon after all of her tutorials. Gives idea of cost of services and designs??
I agree it would be interesting but since her work is so personalized and she doesnt really do the same thing all the time she probably wants freedom to charge whatever she sees fit for each design. If she discussed the cost of each design people would find ways to nitpick and get mad and say she charges too much or too little.
That looks great and easy to do. I Like that you switch up your tutorials so it's not always super long nails being shown. Also I'm glad to see a tutorial, with you being the boss again and not having your loud hand model (AKA Fay) taking over. I just like listening to you and Adam, if I'm honest. 😊👌🏼💅🏼
You make this look so easy , I’ve bought the products but it takes me hours and hours to achieve something nowhere near as good as yours . Seem to have a problem with lifting (the nail) within a few days but I’m determined to get this mastered - help 😵💫
I love watching your videos because you explain how n why as you go along. I don't do nail or hardly wear them but find the process n end result interesting.
I dont know anything about nails, i dont have the patienc to do my own nails.. but your videos are soooo satisfying to watch.. and i learn new things so.. trats good! Great job. Love your accent’ ❤️😘
Great camera angle. I was able to see exactly what you were doing. I've watched other videos that didn't have as good an angle..great explanation as well..thank you!
I've been watching you for years. Love your work and the helpful tips you show us. I love the product line. Been following naio nails since gemma. I love the way you structure your nails. I started sculpting more because of you. And I like it better. Thank you so much for sharing your talent.
Omg I really wish you could come to Florida. I would definitely book with you. These nail techs are lazy and aren’t as patient as you. I ask for an overlay with no tip and they still insist on adding a tip. Awesome job!❤️
I love using this technique on clients because they are so shocked that it works. It's my go to technique for when I'm working on extreme bitten nails (I also did it on myself when I broke my nail halfway back - I let it heal for a day or two then covered it. It felt SO much better once I got the acrylic on... it didn't hurt to touch it!).
Many moons ago, before the gel craze, there weren’t many options or many places to learn DIY so I used to use silk, glue and acrylic to make an extension without a form. It was just a matter of making the shape right, so the silk had to be just right, couldn’t wrinkle and had to extend out to where I wanted the length. Stiffened that with glue, but obviously still really flimsy. Then I would apply the acrylic and build the integrity of the extension, but before the acrylic could dry I would pinch it to give it the nice curve. Then just file it all out to shape. Worked really well. And usually lasted as long as I needed it to.
Thank you so much!!! My nails are a little messed up and the passed couple days I've been trying to find easy way to do my nails in a natural looking way and this was super helpful thank you! I love your videos💖💖💯
OMG... you finally did something I would wear... this is not a critisism... I am picky and all that flashy stuff and extra long nails is just not me... you do beautiful work...... 6 months after release... now I see this...
While I do not work with nails at all. I LOVE your videos bc not only are they so informational, but they’re so interesting/satisfying to watch. You have such a talent and it’s just like watching art being made in front of my eyes.
I’m going to be attempting this on myself because I legit have zero nails, I’m hoping for the best. I miss nails having a normal length nail, mine have been so brittle
Awesome !!! I have a friend I'm doing coming up in a few days and She's a biter..... this is perfect nail for her xxxxx thank you so much for your videos
I’ve been doing this technique on my natural nail clients who need the occasional length here and there for years!( Old tech here.....Lol)Way to go for making a vid!
Great Job!! Is this also called/should I ask for Acrylic Overlay? This is exactly what I want. I have very small nail beds and weak nails, but would like a tiny bit of length just a little though.. without the use of artificial nails. Every time I try to explain this to the nail techs (mainly Chinese) they think it's acrylic nails..
What is a good grit to file/prep natural nails for gel polish? My nails are on the thinner side and break easily so I wanna be careful about how strong of a grit I use. You're the best 💋
Ur work is always so perfect! I love ur videos! I watch them every morning! I wish I had someone near me that did nails like u! Nobody here that I have found, pinches or is really serious about structure! I love that c curve u get with the pinched nails!
What do you recommend for "protecting" your natural nails? I love having my natural nails and want to keep them a nice length, not Faye long lol. A little longer than the nail in this video. Anyway, is gel polish the way to go? Powder polish? I want to keep my natural nails and not damage them.
I was wondering if you would use this same technique on toenails? I had mine operated on as a teen for double ingrown toenails and since then they grew back very brittle and when trimmed leave very little nail and edges uneven and ugly....I’ve used glue on face toenails...but they pop off and I’d like a solid base to be able to have a consistent pedicure surface to paint and design. Please any tips and tricks for me?
This is how I would do toenails almost 30 years ago before it was a thing. Had a couple clients that had no toenails from injury and 1 from a birth defect. They wouldn't wear sandals or open for shoe because of it. I did their nails regularly and they told me about it so I decided to try it for free on a few. Well, it worked out perfectly after some test runs.
Love the vid as usual, and the rapport between you all is awesome to watch! FYI, there IS a pink pineapple! It's genetically modified, but it is a real thing. :) xx
I love your videos...I try to catch every single one!! Lol...I think it would be great if you could do a I tried following so and so's tutorial nail artist style and I would like to see you recreate one of absolute nails spiral nail tutorials or any one of her videos you choose
I have a question. See when she's filing down the nails after applying the product, why not just use an electric file instead of a regular one? Isn't it much easier to do that? Or does the regular file give you more control over how you're filing the nail?
