How to extract elevation data (shapefiles: point) from DEM using ArcGIS 

Using ArcGIS you can use the :
Tool '' Create Fishnet": Creating a regular grid for point sampling.
Tool " Extract multi values": Extract value data.
Data management tools -Feature class -Create Fishnet.
Spatial Analyst tools -Extraction-Extract multi values.
