I don't know how instructors do it. Mine was cooler than frozen cucumber and absolutely nothing phased him - meanwhile practice with my parents and they were constantly screaming and shouting because I hit 29mph in a 30 limit. White knuckling the grab handles whenever I turned at a junction. Constant battering about stuff I was doing wrong that they also did wrong all the time. Go home, turn left on to the driveway at 3mph as instructed, whoawhoawhatareyoudoing. That was nearly 20 years ago and I still don't offer anyone lifts. Even James May says it's just rude and completely unnecessary to comment and criticise someone else's driving (except instructors and examiners of course).
My mum's an instructor and damaged her shoulder when having to yank the steering wheel to the left as her student thought she could force a truck out of its lane...
He is a beginner. I can relate to this. Driving is very confusing when you are doing it for the first time. The coordination required when changing gears, steering the car, switching indicators etc is not something you can master on your first try.
@@renagenic they failed THIS time. They can retake the test multiple times - and they do - eventually they pass - obviously not everyone passes, but people do get through. I've been driving for 12 years now and I've seen some bloody awful driving. I was a delivery assistant for 6 years before that.
If you never drived, then don't get too cocky. Things like those in the video don't happen because the drivers are dumb or something, but because they are learning. You will do such mistakes too.
I never was this bad, not even in the beginning, driving is not that fkng hard, tf is wrong with these ppl..? I got my license and in one month I was already doing Uber, it's been one year and by other people's account they say I'm an excellent driver. I'm from Puerto Rico so there's some challenging roads around here, I don't understand how these people having open spaces, full visibility and a fkng instructor by their side telling them what to do still fkng suck ass at driving so fkng much. Like..... wth..? 0% situational awareness, poor reaction time, no common sense, and these ppl fkng drive.
@floopyfloof2384 then you shouldn't be allowed to drive let alone have someone sign off on you passing your driving test. I literally had no issues when I took my driving course and test it's all about how confident you are with your driving skills which isn't very easy it's all just about paying attention to your surroundings if you can't do that then you shouldn't be allowed to drive period until you can.

When I was first learning to drive I would freeze up a lot like this. I can’t even explain it, the anxiety just takes over Lots of low iq people who have never accomplished anything in life don’t seem to know how to read “when I was first learning.” I’ve never put anyone in danger like this video and lots of people can relate if you actually look at the fuckinh likes. These instructors got balls of steel to get in cars with people like this on a daily basis Edit: thanks for 10k! insurance does not equal safety. You can be insured but still shit your pants when close to accidents. Having a break pedal still requires a fear response to a potential crash much like the insurance response above.
It's remarkably hard to operate a car while also staying aware of a moving environment with multiple hazards. The instructor should be teaching this guy in a quiet side street in a quiet suburb where there are no lanes or roundabouts. The complex environment (pedestrians, lorries, lanes, roundabouts) here is way past his competence level.
@treemover7259 Please tell me it ain't so. I cannot for the life of me believe that they must have had at least 10hrs driving and not having a crash of any sort before doing this test. I don't think I drove for that many hours before taking mine when my parents helped me learn how to drive and stuff.
This isn't bad driving, it's people who have a lot of trouble processing information quickly, or even at all. Exactly the kind of person who should never be behind the wheel.
I'm assuming the problem is they're going too fast so when they hit the brakes normally (aka slowing to a stop like usual) they don't have enough time before they hit the object/pedestrian. New drivers don't realize how much time they'll need to actually stop the vehicle at certain speeds. This was something I had an issue with too as a new driver.
I really believe that it’s more anxiety because new drivers are so focused on pleasing the teacher which causes them to black out of anxiety while driving
In this clip, every warning got its reason. in term of Anxiety, The Instructor got more than their student as they are not control the helm directly. These student could run over people a dozen time while being clueless how they were wrong. most of student in this clip are driving with absent mind before got warn by instructor.
@@THOA-01 Your blame makes it sound like they're failing on purpose. No one fails their driving test intentionally. To seasoned drivers, it may seem like common sense, but for beginners, it’s overwhelming. They must focus on looking for pedestrians, checking mirrors, watching for oncoming traffic, and reading signs-all while trying to get used to the big body of the car and stay in their lane. They haven’t gotten used to the pressure of the pedals. That’s why they stop so abruptly and can’t keep their speed consistent. They’re also nervous to make matters worse. It takes practice to become a good driver. If everyone was good at driving the first time couple of times they got into a car then driving school/ test wouldn’t exist. People make mistakes when they’re learning something new. That’s just how it is.

A lot of case in this video is driving with absent mind before Instructor even yell something. This has not something to do with driving skill, it's purely their focus. The First dude doesn't hear the instructor tell him to stop even said 4 times until he got force to stop and just look at Instructor like What wrong cluelessly!? The Last Dude is not even look on the road ahead of him that people still crossing and not slowing down even one bit. This is not about driving skill but their focus ability. Not every one can really drive. drive a car and able to drive a car is not the same thing.
@@Phil27262that's a review camera not a mirror. The car may look like it was close but you can compare to the other cars in the camera to know it's was not all that close.
Tbh people that are perfectly capable of driving fine, but are just overconfident are much more scary. Those are the people getting in accidents, weaving in and out of traffic, always 15 over the limit, never letting anyone into their lane even when the other person is merging onto the highway, basically tailgaiting everyone, even when the roads are icy or theres a lot of rain. These people are liable to kill some innocent person in an accident, just because they think the rules don't apply them when they're in a rush. Impatience is the worst habbit on the road. I know this cause someone from my family falls in this category of psychopaths. If I ever have to go out with them, I say my prayers prior to leaving the driveway. 🙏
It’s wild to think these are adults. My dad had me driving an old truck around our property when I was 12. Crazy how different our life experiences can be.

I had a test examiner freak me out before a test. Let me just say the test was bad for me and him. Lesson for all examiners, DO NOT FREAK OUT YOUR DRIVER. I want the examiner to be safe and he wants to make it home to his family it’s a bad position for everyone. If you’re wondering what he did. Before he even got out from behind the desk he slammed his clipboard yelled at me and then was loud and rude the entire test. Homie needed a hug and a day off.

yeah I don't quite understand pedestrians challenging cars in the road. like yes, you can cross in the crosswalk, but maybe make sure traffic stops first. The 2000+ lb vehicle is going to win the battle every time, regardless of how stubborn you are.

The last clip is a perfect example why wait till a car passes. My dad told me when I was younger “trust me when I say there’s no place you could possibly go that you need to get there 30 seconds earlier if you cross before the car stops. Just because you legally have the right away doesn’t mean it’s always going to happen.”
100% this is how everyone should approach crossing the road. Which is why crossing in other countries freaks me out, even then i wait till they’ve near stopped
I never cross while a car is near, that few seconds is worth me having functional limbs I need to put food on my family's table. No law is going make me superman.
In my country, Yemen, the road is more dangerous than you can imagine. No one follows traffic rules, and you may suddenly find yourself in an accident. I even collided with a traffic policeman an hour ago😂😂😂😂😂 It is better for a father to teach his children to drive. When my father taught me that if he said stop and I didn't stop at the same time, he would slap me hard pehind the head so there was no way I would repeat the same mistake. I am very grateful to my father.
