I’m about to Move into an apt with the entry door smack in the middle of a LR with a catty-corner faux fireplace opposite. Lordy! I have to embrace “Welcome to the living room!” Also, I’m going to use the trick of covering the entry door wall, which also has windows, with drapes that will cover the door when I’m at home, do it’ll look like there’s no door there once you’re inside. I’ll let ya know if it works.

Ugh! Having such trouble decorating my living room and finding the right layout. My door opens into my living room, however the stairs are directly to the left! And there’s a good sized piece of squared tile at the entire top separate the door, and then onto wood. Help!
