You said you was going to do it and you did 🙌🏾! I read some other comments on other pages that had me on a wild goose chase trying to get another ring of the dead. One comment said you had to go bacc to chapter 4 and do all the main story battles in POTD before it would allow you to get another ring levels 1,2,3,5,21 etc. In your play through clearly you are in CODA 2 and had no problem getting one over and over again 🤦🏾♂️. I will always revert bacc to your videos when I’m confused with doing something. The Tactics Ogre community is grateful for you Sir Odie.
Hey. Ima explain to you step for step what is going on. So long ago when I first used my ring of the dead on a character after I used the Ogre blade to transfer bodies (I did not) un equip that item from my characters inventory. By not doing so I believe I cannot get another ring. In your video you stated that you have to un equip the ring of the dead from the character otherwise you cannot get another. Well I had no idea about this. I still have the character but there is no (faded ring) in his items category. It has been so many months and fights later I think the game progressed far enough to where there is nothing I can do to get another one. I beat the game etc. Today-I was in level 99, had the female cleric in the battle which has a 15% drop rate along with the male Cenobite who also has a 15% drop rate. Tried to farm the ring from both of them. Over 50-60 times in one match. The Ur-Whale Mail has an even smaller drop rate of 10%. In that 50-60 times of going backwards I believe I seen that armor drop 10 times or so. It has an even smaller drop rate than the ring. I retreated from battle and went back into the match making sure the female cleric and male cenobite was in there again. 30 times more unsuccessful attempts. I checked every single characters item category to make sure I don’t have it equipped and I checked my item inventory to make sure I don’t have it. There is no possible way that it is this difficult to get a second time when in your video you get it multiple times after using it on other characters. I thank you for taking time to show us your experience. I wish I could show you that I’m doing everything you are doing (changing squares, tarot backwards, killing everyone but the person being farmed etc)

I wish I could help.. make sure you are in Coda 2, make sure before you go to Palace of dead to restart the Warren Mission in the Warren Report after warping back!! I personally find coda 3 better for getting rings of the dead my ocd prevents me form charioting lol just seeing a single 1 in the warren report is more than enough to me cause me reload a save lol so yeah for me grinding them in potd is a no go unless im using cheat engine lol nice video though
