I just can’t seem to get the hang of feeding with a continental. I can’t reliably hit the ball where I’m aiming when I have that grip. However, I have total directional control with my eastern forehand. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I can serve with a continental just fine. Just can’t feed it. 😢
Haha thanks, I've never grown it this long, but the feedback has been positive, so I just keep putting off my haircuts. Let's see how long it gets before people start complaining :P
i have to try this this wkd! i love how you can apply the same fundamentals to different types of feeders. One of the better yt tennis vids. You made it simple to understand.
Hey Roslee, I suggest Penn Marathons are reasonably priced and last longer than typical balls, so that they can be reused for a month or two if you're playing casually.
This is a great video. Thank you! I was wondering how much your stance matters. Maybe it doesn't matter but I have seen some people feed with their toes pointing forward and not staggered. I have seen other people with one foot forward. Can you talk about the stance please? Thank you!
Thanks, SilverEater. I find the most comfortable stance is left foot pointed at target with the right opened about 45 degrees from the left foot. Thanks for the great question.
Do you recommend to feed balls from Base line, Service line or mid yaw between the Base line & Service line for the Forehand ground strokes and backhand ground strokes ? Thank you Madhav
It depends on the skill of the person to whom you feed. Generally I begin close with hand feeds and work my way further back as my student gets comfortable.
