I am 61 years old, I've fished pretty much all my life ( bluegills on a cane pole when I was 3), I've filleted thousands of fish. You are exacty right about how to clean a bass & good at it. And, don't apologize for keeping one, they are plentiful and perfectly good to eat.

They are super plentiful. People act like it’s a wild brown trout in its natural habitat that was never stocked. Anywhere on the west coast where I’m from, they’re stocked, mostly in man made resevoirs, so I don’t see the difference between eating a stocked bass and a stocked trout.

Bamboo poles on a dock when I was young you couldn't keep the hook in the water more than 2 seconds before another bit. Could fill a cooler in under 30 minutes lol good times

My dad and I have always done the scale and gut method. At first I wasn’t going to use this video to give me and my dad pointers on filleting because of how young you are, but damn dude, that was a great video. Very professional, straight to the point and it demonstrates that you’re an expert. Just goes to show that a little humility can go a long way. Thank you!

We received this in the mail today! The packaging was fine, no damage during shipping thank goodness! The construction was very simple ru-vid.comUgkxXH3jIpsn6vpr3D26KWAriUejh7CSxVp7 , the bottom rocking part and the ottoman were already put together for us which is nice!As for the actual quality, the wood seems fine.. Not too cheap but maybe not the quality you would find in a store for 400$. However, it is still sturdy and feels secure. I've only had it for one night, so of course no squeaking yet.. But if it does squeak it could be easily oiled. The cushions are comfy, and made of a suede like material. Obviously with time these cushions will probably wear and tear.. But for the price of the chair it is still worth it just to go out and buy new cushions that fit in the future.Overall I am very satisfied, I was a little worried after reading some reviews and looking through the photos, but I'm happy I bought it! Obviously it's not a heavy-duty chair, but with care I'm hoping it will last a while.

First, thank you for not wasting the fish. I've seen some real jerks that just just throw back a un-releasable fish that's injured. Here in the south (Texas), we fry and eat Bass all the time.

Yeah I hate it when I watch an angler rip their gear out of a fishes throat or guts and just toss it back in and carry on while it floats there...if you injure it that badly either give it to someone else to eat or eat it yourself, small or not.

Bass populations are excellent these days since more anglers are practicing catch-and-release...it's not like those old photos from the 60's when people had 50 bass on a stick and another 50 laying on the ground.... just wanton abuse. Taking a few to eat isn't going to deplete the population.

I keep about 1/4 of the bass I catch basically I eat bass 2 times a week. I steam it. I don’t waste as much as this kid does. I get rid of scales then gut it. Then steam a 2lb bass with scallions and ginger. 9.5 min for a 2 lber. Then get rid of juices and leave just the fish. Put fresh scallions and sliced strands of ginger. Maybe some hot peppers. Then pour hot oil over fish and the ginger scallions. Make sure oil it’s hot enough. When you pour you hear it popping when it hits the fish. Finish off with light soy sauce or just regular soy sauce and enjoy. The cheeks the best.
