Awesome, can't wait to see the finished vfx. It made me laugh when you was just sitting down with the green screen behind you, I do the exact same thing myself. Great video.

Don't forget the dry ice and water for planetary atmosphere. Great job, so clear on how it works.

How I do this: Spaceship traveling in space model suspended from the tail, pointing at the floor, the camera locked down sideways as you let out the fishing line the ship slowly drops to the floor in front of the camera

If you have access to either a snooker or green baize pool table, they work very well as a free green screen.

We have the same gear. Haha. I was looking forward to this and enjoyed it. I was able to reduce shadows by flattening the light with diffusion and adding an equal second light on the opposite side. This allowed me to pull the model away from the screen, which helped prevent color spill. I'll post my crude attempt on our film channel once the Rode reel footage uploads.
