Hi everyone! In this video I wanted to touch of some the techniques involved with filming cardistry. As always, creative freedom is encouraged. However, there are a variety of aspects you should consider when filming cardistry to best show off the moves. In the video, I go over how to find the best angles for each move, why this is important, and some considerations for the speed and rotation of your camera.

Thanks for referencing my BTS video of Rise! I think these explainer type videos are what cardistry needs more of, so keep it up! I would also like to add that if you're filming by yourself, don't be afraid to move your body to get the ideal angle for the move, or film the move in multiple angles and cut to the appropriate angle in post :)

What kind of camera would you recommend? And which editing software?

Camera can be anything really. Some prefer the look that a wide angle lens provides. We use Adobe Premiere Pro, but something free like DaVinci Resolve works great too
