I am waiting for pandemic to end and tech conferences to open again so I can rebuild my professional network that collapsed under COVID. I failed at over 14 recent job interviews at two large big tech companies so I need a fresh approach to have a real path toward victory and not constant defeat!
Hi Andrew, I applied all the interview techniques you mentioned in your videos and that helped me clear couple of interviews with Hiring managers. Thank you very much. Your book, Interview Intervention is awesome!
A myriad of things in terms of Find a Job Faster things are superbly catering with in the rapid way at scintillating expressing at a larger scale such as milewalkacademy, jobsearch, careercoach, careercoaching, interviewintervention, outofreachbutinsight and so on and so forth. had a call with a pharma co today for a digital a/c manager role ... they told me straight out it was 55K Per year Euro plus Bonus .... I told the recruiter agent that i wanted to chat to the hiring manager ... the warned me the salary was non-negotiable .... 55K is peanuts for a pharma role
Hello... Im hooked on your videos.. But you said something so vital that I needed to hear and realize...and I had an AH HA moment.. I am the SOLUTION! THANK YOU....
I'm off topic but.I have landed my ideal job. I am trying to build my words and confidence up on how to negotiate pay after already stating what I wanted (found out that I could get paid a lot more due to my experience). Is it smart to negotiate after stating the compensation I want?
C M Most times they ask for your salary expectations before you understand anything about the role and duties. Check out my Salary Negotiation Tips playlist. Also watch this video, Why You Should Be Getting Big Job Offers Right Now and head to 0:17:30 3) Make the Argument Why You're Worth More.
Im in the process of sorting this through myself to network as a sales specialist in the B2B lead gen/marketing space. Im in two minds though(maybe three🤣)with the following: 1.)Should I search for the title person(s) I want to speak to in those industries? 2.)Should I rather search for the companies that are with the ideal size(but add a step of then manually having to find the person after that search) 3.)Bite the bullet and get Sales Nav to simplify this process somehow. What my messaging should be is also a bit of a hurdle as 3 contracts that have had me either get the team to capacity in 3 months with clients OR the lead flow dried up have left me a little timid of screwing up again🤣
I didn’t realize you started with Andersen Consulting! I spent several years as PM&S support in Change Management Services (Chicago office.) Were you at 33W?
@@andylacivita , lol, maybe we shared an elevator ride! Late ‘80s/early ‘90s? Trying to remember my acronyms … were you in … ISD? (Early in my career there I also worked w/3 ISD managers.) Edited to add: Just listened to your How to Find Your Gift (3/25/2022) podcast where you mentioned your age. I’m guessing you arrived just as life/love took me first to the East Coast & then back to Chicago (yay!) to 69W.
Hi Andrew. Thank you very much for this great video. I have been unemployed from 2019 Jan. I did consultancy between Dec 2021 to April 2022. I am a plastic technologist with 23 yeas exp in handling Factory management & Operations. from 2012 till 2019 I was in a training & auditing company heading the training Pan India. Now I am confused if I should use the approach 7 for job hunt or the steps from 1 to 6. Its very frustrating and my resume has all sorts of achievements like revenue by 25%, getting 7 companies ISO 9001, implementing lean in 3 factories, heading HR negotiating union settlements etc..But in a few interviews( 8 calls from Jan 2019) that I attended the interviewers was confused what I actually could do/what my interest were. Can you please suggest on the above. Love your videos.
Kashi, sorry to hear, but keep going in your job search! Please watch my newest RU-vid video called, This ONE Change Will Improve Your Entire Job Search! This will discuss how to get clear on what you do and how the employer can benefit. It's great you were able to get that feedback, now you can fix it. Good luck!
@@andylacivita Thank you so much for your feedback. I watched the video as mentioned in your reply, now I realize my mistakes. I have been working on this for last 2 days. I just need one clarity - i have worked for 34 years in 12 different organizations - Do I have to show all of them on my resume? as per your template its better to keep it less than 2 pages. A reply from your end would be highly appreciated. Your videos are excellent. Love to join the next live session.
@@kashivishwanath7603 you definitely do not need to show them all but when you start your timeline, remain continuous in your listing of companies. That is, pick a moment in time and then list all of them you’ve worked for since that time.
@@andylacivita Thank you so much for this feedback. Really appreciate. Have been watching your videos last couple of days and can't imagine the number of errors in my resume. Time to get to work now. Will keep you posted. Have a great weekend 🙏🙏🙏
