Another added project to check out would be Soulbound, if you haven't heard about them yet well basically the aim is to find guilds for players and grant them access, rewards, and more. vice versa, guilds can pick players here with outstanding profiles to participate in raids or make them a part of the guild.

I had in the past good memories with people and guilds, but i was still in highschool and was new to this whole experience. There are a lot more requirements today, it feels like applying for work irl. It's not for everyone, some like it some don't. I just want to have fun, i don't want to commit to something long term. That would mean leaving things behind. For those that want to raid, this is a long term thing. Not something you just do whenever you want.

thx for making thre effort here, what should be said is this, playin,meeting,interacting with(ie-socialization) with folks online as oppossed to in person i COMPLETLEY diff, humans are not meant to interact online. As folks become more and more engrossed into online "living" The "treat others as you would like to be treated" is only carried by those with a strong moral compass and empathy, the folks i just mentioned are like finding a golden unicorn in wow that pays for eveything once you right click on it. VERy rare individuals so when ya fnd stay with em. Its been my exp 94% of the playerbase are: aloof-selfish-arrogant and immature.

Pet peeve for to join a guild, is those that advertise on ‘map chat’ as a friendly PVE guild and for you to either whisper or PM for invite or info, BUT they never reply to you !!

Can you clarify something please? 9:27- “after the tier is over” When is the tier over? When the final boss is killed or the week before or after a new raid comes out? I was in an AOTC guild and left 6+ weeks after we got AOTC bc I was looking to get CE that same tier. I know it’s a lofty goal, but am I the asshole?

The thing is that on my server ( eu blackhand- alliance) there is no really good raiding guild. The best guild ist 7/10hc but I want to get into a better guild so i have to change server or faction😑

Some good advice. There are certainly several people in my guild who don't look at their own skill and only look at iLvl. No joke - we have a 207 mage who is bottom two dps. Don't even know how that's possible unless you're clicking spells versus using hotkeys. I wish I was the leader of our guild to put a few more rules in place. I put it this way - Raiding is the "game." M+, PvP, WQ's are all "practice" (sports references). If you show up to the game and don't play well, you get benched. I wouldn't necessarily "fire" someone, but until play improves, they shouldn't raid. Healing through DPS checks is frustrating when players won't admit they can't pull the numbers. -_-

How does one get back into a good raiding guild after not having raided really since wotlk, feels impossible

If you're the only person parsing >90% then maybe you should look elsewhere. If everyone is blue parsing and you're at the top of the meter, you should all grow together

Finding a good guild I'm general has become nearly impossible in retail WoW unless you knew people that you still play with from back in the day. Retail WoW is trash.

5:00 I also think that's like, do you want to be in a better guild? If you're not looking to climb the guild rank but just get better as an individual, I rather stay in a good guild than go fishing for one and risk ending up worse than you are (either in terms of compatibility with the new guild or they just don't perform as well as you expected)

I'm just in a tough spot because I live in Korea, but want to play with people back in NA. So I need like an early morning raid team, which would be my evenings. That's hard to find. Or just some time on the weekends so I can raid in my morning when I'm not at work.

I personally find the best way to get into a good guild is indeed to do mythic plus. play with pugs, find good dps/healer/tank and do more keys together. Get to know them, then push yourself to higher scores, then join a boosting community and do keys with them, get to know some boosters, make friends with them and sooner or later you will have a better group to push with. After that you should have a high rio and you can apply to some guilds that are good. Most of the boosters are also raid boosters and they have a good guild they did the content with. If you make friends with one of them, they will vouch for you and Boom you skipped 2 years of hard work.

Think I better stay solo for now then....still learning how to control my player...most of this went right over my head...lol

My guild is stuck on 6/10 N because people keep leaving (and many other issues; leadership, etc,.) I can’t get into a better guild because I am only 6/10 N. Took a gamble on a new guild; screwed for the entire tier.

Thanks for this one, another piece of information worth keeping! I think Soulbound will make it easy for players trying to see where they fit best for guilds. Really excited about this one!

Pushing DPS logs usualy means cutting corners on event mechanics, thats why I hate it.

I think your overall points are fine, I would clarify a little on the "if you're doing better than your guild in the raid look for another guild" thing. If you're top dps by only 1-2%, you're not necessarily that much better than your guild, a lot of it could come down to individual fights, what classes they're playing, what class you are playing etc. Now if for instance you are beating the second highest dps by over 10% every single raid night? Then that may be a good time to look for greener pastures.

I am a Holy Priest. I was in a good and fun guild but it fell apart. I am in a new guild (also good and fun) but continue to be right in the middle of healing past and present. I am not getting any better or worse. No matter what I do ... I am a mid level healer (HPS and overall healing) and it seems like it is difficult to get the best gear. I am enjoying Classic WoW but it is a little difficult to continue to not get a few pieces of amazing gear. My gear is not bad and I know I won't get all the best gear but it would be nice to have a couple pieces of amazing gear ... any suggestions?

Joining guilds sounds like a lot of work now. Every guild I've ever been in was due to pugging into their alt raids and getting invited to join their raid team. Easy tank life lol

I got invited to Method, but then had to quit because of RL and never actually got to raid with them. Kinda a bummer.

staying in a bad guild for a whole tier is really bad advice, if it's been a month since raid release and your guild is stuck on 3/10 hc and u want more and go out of ur way to pug to 10/10 hc and want to go into mythic you're just wasting your time with their guild

If you rly rly want to join a top 50 guild with a big leap, there are other steps, sleep with one of em.

There's something that rubs me a bit wrong with the idea of using these other guilds as stepping stones to get to where you want to be instead of helping the guild you're already in break into the top 10 or whatever, but I do appreciate that you advise that you give as much notice as possible before leaving and don't leave in the middle of a tier. For players who have their hearts set on being world first, I get that staying with a guild and helping it raise to those ranks would be a big gamble and much harder to do than just using it as a stepping stone to get into guilds already up there, and not everyone is going to have that sort of patience or willingness to gamble. But I can't help but feel for the leaders of those guilds for whom it must be frustrating to constantly lose their best players to higher ranked guilds and not be able to progress further themselves a result, but that's just the way it goes.

I'm tank with good raider.io score and currently guildless. I was in a guild that never raided with on the current content. It's an old guild created in cataclysm, I raided with them on Cata as a rogue and ppl were different back then. Now the guild has some new "stars" and some arrogant kids who started the game like 2-3 years ago but they think they know it all and that everyone else sucks by default. I tanked the officer's group the first day of m+ to +10, because I only knew 3 of the officers in the guild, the other core members were "new stars" to me, but then when I wanted to join CN, they said "we currently have tanks, you can join as dps", but I'm a DH, and I don't enjoy being the darkest bottom dps. It's either I'm top and shining or I don't go in at all, so I left the guild. There were some ppl who wanted to invite me into their guild, but their guild is progressing in CN hc.. I mean I go there with pugs that I form and clean 8/10 without problems, I mean, why should I join a guild that wants me to carry them? Guilds need 2 tanks in total, and that's it, but they need alot more healers and damage dealers. So I think the tanking spot is kinda hard to get.

Although you can pad Raider io score though. i knew a guy that the last bfa tier had a decent io score on his alt which he was so bad at playing. he basically got carried by his guild. so IO is broken mostly

Hello, i usually like your vidéos, but i dont agree with you on this one ;). If you want a fun guild, a community, you should take part. (Also propose stuff, answer on chat guild etc ...) we have a lot of apply are not even doing this. And if you are "better" then your mates, you could also help them progressing, instead of encouraging them leaving. the community is already shitty with many mercenary. I have the feeling we don't need this kind of messages :(. Anyway best wishes for the coming year ! Usually your videos are Nice ;)

You make a massive assumption that people always want to improve and progress, sometimes the people you find are worth 10x more than anything that the content can provide for you. So its fine if you are top and stay where you are if people are more important than the game.
