Usually with a collaboration whoever is contributing they give their services for free for the return of marketing and exposure of your business.

Just to confirm what you said in this video, Do you spend your own money on balloons and time with other businesses in exchange to promote yourself/market yourself and to have them refer you to their clients? What about working with schools? Would you do the same there?

the answer to the first question, yes exactly. about the school. you can do the same, or your can complete one setup and make agreement that the school will hire you for their future events.
