Guys, that's a VERY great cut out on the beach there.. it's what us water hunters crave for. I hope you all hammered the shit out of there before it sanded back up. Well done, superb finds. Oh you all have the fabulous Explorer 2, I have one, they are simply the best ever land machine for relics ever made. YES with hot magnetic rocks and black sand, run an Explorer in Auto, if in manual mode, crank your sensitivity down to single figures, yes single. No point having a machine turned up and semi detecting all the false signals these conditions produce. I can hunt this type of area with an Xcal in all metal, but I have spent years listening to the AUDIO quality of the tone.
I think it's great how you guys get so excited over your finds. Can someone please recommend a brand/model for me? I'm thinking of doing detecting in my own backyard since the property is virtually virgin (no building or excavations) for more than 400 years. The road which we live on was once a 'trade road' during the 1600 to late 1800's. I would appreciate any good advice on equipment you could pass on to me as a first time detector (me) wanting to start a new hobby.
Found this video while searching, u guys did really good. How deep were these finds? Gotta wonder if the TDI Pro would of done any good if any finds were very deep, thanks for sharing...
