well i dont know but i watched a video showing if you mine straight through the MIDDLE of the chunk, you will get more dianonds as compare to mining through the chunk border at -58 and merging it with branch mining its op, so i did that thing( before i also did that except that MIDDLE THROUGHT THE CHUNK things) and guess what i have seen a big difference in getting diamonds so i think you guys should mine through the middle of the chunk, not to mention i have did this method couple of time not just once and with that it is possible to get 1 stack diamond with fortune 3 in no time, before sometimes when i mine at a new place i find more but sometimes mining at a different place guves me less, i guess becaus at one place i was mining through middle of chunk where else in the other place i was just randomly mining

@@TheAetherGamer In 1.20 ore generation was change. You just have to go down to the mine to figure it out. Now the contact of diamonds with air has almost no effect on their quantity

@@oscarwild7298 That change did not affect exposure to air. It simply made diamond veins try to generate more frequently, but that doesn't change air exposure's effect on it at all. The way you get diamonds from now compared to 1.18 is still the exact same.
