Guys all you need is a master ball and then just duplicate it with the duplication glitch in the game. The glitch works in the virtual console version. Just look up a video for the duplication glitch.
OmegaVideoGameGod it kind of takes the fun out of it though last time I played silver I used the save glitch to get the 3 starters because you can’t get them all otherwise not playing on your phone anyway lol
Easiest cc I can’t even find them. I found Raikou once by chance, now even using the map to see where he is, he always runs far from where i am! It’s literally impossible to be at the same route as them at the same time
I looked this up because I remembered the struggle. When gold and silver came out I was in the fourth grade. Me and my friends didn't care about stats and whatever. We hunted them down until we caught them lol then battled each other like hell. Literally a dude I didn't like house was behind me he would jump the fence connect the Gameboy color and we would battle for hours lol
Back then I made a big mistake in using my master ball on Lugia. So the 3 legendary beasts would haunt me. Years later I decided to buy Crystal version via virtual console and finally got my revenge on them!
I am so glad I will just use a glitch! I give my masterball to my Pokémon. Put it in my pic, do glitch and get three masterballs so I can capture these legendaries without having to worry lol
My Smeargle was is level 61 with 128 Speed, but Raikou fled. Does fleeing have priority over taking action? Playing with Retro Achievements, so I can't use any glitches to get multiple master balls.
I finally replayed this on the Virtual Console not too long ago freaking Entei used Roar every single time! I could put to sleep for like 10 turns if I was lucky and throw 20 Ultra Balls as it was sleep at 1% health... and it would still freaking wake up and use Roar... I had to trade a masterball into crystal from my silver playthrough to catch it.
@@r.a.c.5754 Nah, the cloning glitch works just fine. I played Gold and Silver on the VC two years ago and cloned a thousand times. It doesn’t corrupt your file. If there was something wrong with that glitch, Game Freak would have fixed it before releasing those versions on the VC.
I found an Entei out of nowhere, no preparation whatsoever, the pokemon i was currently using had no moves that could help. It was in an emulator so i was able to save immediately, but it would escape the ball every single time. It's still there, and i have no way of replicating this strategy. I searched for how to find Entei to see the odds of it being just a Ditto. Now i know it probably is the actual legendary. Haha. Lucky me. Back to trowing great balls it is!
Mean look lovely kiss jynx??? Keep it trapped then unable to roar as well from sleep. This has higher accuracy than hypnosis. Use carbos to boost its speed
Benz Quizon Roaming is a different experience I was a noob kid when I bought heartgold :P and every time I met a roaming legend I was scared to what to do.
I remember as a kid before we knew how to duplicate master balls, or how to track the 3 legendaries, my cousin threw a great ball at a full HP suicune and caught it lol. So everytime after that we would just throw balls at them full HP and never caught another one until we learned the duplication cheat lol.
Gold Lucario Have a Pokemon in your part that knows Spore, did a wild Smeargle and use only Spore on it. The first time Smeargle will fall asleep. Keep on using Spots again and nothing else. The moment Smeargle wakes up he will use Sketch and learns Spore the way. Now you can capture him.
can you help me I'm live Streaming Pokemon Crystal on Twitch I got Raikou down to a Sliver of Health and I can't seem to find the Right ball to Capture him I do using a Haunter who has Mean Look and I can't get Hypnosis or Trade it to become Gengar because Emulator any Good Ideas on what to do?
level the haunter up until its speed stat is higher then a level 40's raikous max could be. Check the pokedex each time you reenter the route to see if its on your route. If it is then you try getting into an encounter with the raikou (sometimes it flees the route after a few encounters and dont use repels). Mean look it and just try throwing some balls. Ultra balls are your best bet but the capture rate is pretty low.
Well i just caught entei in a different way, i usted a level 42 hypno using hypnosis and Dream eater to make him weak and sleepy and try a lot of times to catch entei with the ultra ball
I’m born In The 90s had this game. Tbh I just kept chasing these guys with a duplicated master ball to catch em. If they ran I’d keep finding them. For some reason they don’t roar or run. ON OCCASION though not every time.
Caught all 3 of my roamers with a level 39 Gengar using Hypnosis, 2 Dream Eaters and 1 Ultra Ball. Mean Look is a wasted turn if you manage to put your target to sleep first turn.
Somehow Raikou fled from my lvl 40 Crobat? I've encountered it before and my Crobat was faster every time, but this time I used Mean Look and it fled before my move even came out...
i'm playing silver version.. i never met Raikou & Entei even i finish playing the game.. i just manage to get Suicune at the very 1st moment i play this game with haunter.. how to find Railou & Entei like my case ??
It's insanely hard. You have to see Entei and all the other dogs at the tower. Then find them. That can take upwards of 2 hours to 4 hours. Kill all the dogs. If they aren't shiny, repeat
Catching Entei is as I call BS luck. I got Entei down to 1 hp via false swipe but the sucker used roar. I saved the game. After failing a dozen times. I encountered Entei again. This time I only used my lvl 33 Smeargle and only used spore and when Entei was asleep I spammed ultra ball until it worked. I didn’t use mean look at all. Entei is the hard. As for Raikou just use master ball. Screw Raikou’s high speed states!
Because he uses repel when he is searching for Entei. Repel wont effect to same or higher level pokemons than your main pokemon. So if he uses high level pokemon Smeargle when searching for Entei while he's using repel, then Entei would't appear.
Darrell Bell I don't recall the original gold silver and crystal doing that, but I guess in the new console version, they implemented the last health state that was introduced in gen 4. Where roaming legendaries start with the same health you left them at before they flee
I had to use my Master Ball on Entei. Ran out of Ultra and other balls. Somehow was able to catch Raikou at 50% health with a Lure Ball (o_O), which I just threw randomly.
Playing Pokemon Gold when I was 6 I always tried to weaken Entei before catching it... so annoying knowing this now 😂 so many wasted hours searching and searching only to scare it off!
Did it... Much easier on emulator because you can save during battle. Also had a choice between that and raiku. Full health and ultra ball took 10 times
