What do you think about taking part in internship by ERASMUS. I'm from Poland and in the summer I will be on a internship in company which is in Germany I will be there for three months. Are the employers looks on taking part in practice in different country?
Any internship is very good for your career, especially if it's with a well-known/ distinguished program. I'm not as familiar with Poland, but in the US your internship will generally decide where you are going after graduation. You are more likely to find a job with a company in the same location and industry as your internship.
I am a senior with no internship experience. I didn't know about anything with this as my schools entire engineering department is the worst at communication. The councilers quit after a few months for the mechanical engineering department, the one I'm in. Also all the COVID things let to everything being shutdown and not really any options for internships or clubs. The only internships I heard of from my other colleagues were out of state. I didn't know about these until after covid and in the beginning of my senior year.@@randallmcgrath9345
Hi, probably not.. most companies will take at least a few weeks to train you and then expect you to work for them at least a few months after that. Most large companies would probably not accept a high school student, but maybe a start up company or a really small operation. Instead, I would suggest that you contact professors researching at a local university and tell them you will work for free. I worked in a lab that once allowed a middle schooler to work there for the summer! My university also had a special program for highschool kids doing such a thing. You may also consider staring your own engineering club as well.
Hi my name is Siddharth , hailing from India .. I’m a mechanical engineering student , currently in my 5thSem .. Due to covid , I wasn’t able to find and get into good on-site internships offered by companies . Student project recruitments are also over in my college .. To be frank , I’m confused on how to start my career .. not sure which area I should focus on .. so can u suggest and give ideas on how I should start my career from scratch . Can u suggest some good softwares to learn and online and offline internships to look for .. and the skills required for a mech engineer? Ways on How can I get into projects if I’m a beginner ?? If u could help me take part in a project you’re currently doing it will be a life saver. It will give me the necessary exposure in the field of mechanical engineering Or rather would u mind telling me what u would do if u got a second chance in mechanical engineering.. how and where would you spend your time on ..
Sometimes companies don’t take on first year students. So don’t feel disheartened if only a few places respond and offer you a place. By the time you’re in your 3rd or 4th year, you’ll be offered many more places. Try to avoid showing your age on your application.
