Penny items are not available for sale. The company has to remove them and send them back to the manufacturer for credit. Source: I used to work for one of the home improvement big box store. We had to pull anything that rang out for a penny
I work for HD and penny items are not to be sold... believe it or not they get destroyed and thrown out. 😢 even employees can't even buy them, plus anything that goes on sale employees aren't allowed to purchase until they've been available to the public for 24 hours and as an employee we Do Not get a discount either. But lowe's employees do.
Technically according to your handbook, if it's on the floor at a penny you guys are suppose to honor it. You guys aren't suppose to leave them on the floor after inventory.
@itspapaj4732 correct, but it's also up to the store managers' discretion at my local HD they will sell whatever you bring to the counter, and that's all cashiers notify department and the rest are pulled and destroyed.
First off and nobody is going to help you with that because they hide all those items in the overhead... I used to get scumbags that would come in there and look for them in the overheads or have somebody on the inside putting them all in one area. They got fired immediately
So he charged you a dollar for each item instead of a penny? Im totally confused here man. Judging by the ither comments, it seems you may have some explaining to do.
24 * .01¢ Ok let's carry the one, subtract the 8. The round it to the nearest inch. Don't forget the exchange rate. Divide by blueberry pie. Soak it in water for 26.89333 hours and we get 24$ Oh yeah that is correct mathing.. Idky ppl are saying it's incorrect.
