Hi George. Please can you let me know if there's anywhere you can live on your own in a one bedroom flat in Aberdeen? I'm moving there in August to start my PGDE but I would prefer to live alone just to focus on the studies. Love the content and thanks in advance.

Hello Shane, your best bet would be the Garthdee area. It's closer to the University and there are lots of accommodations in that area for students. Other great areas would be Ruthrieston and Mannofield. But Nonetheless, any area in the city centre would also be ideal as there's a bus that runs from the city centre to RGU frequently. Hope this helps. 😉

Hi George. Thanks for this video. I must confess, your video is really cool - making, content, your voice. Also, you didn't speak specifically on married couple moving together. Anything to keep in mind? Eg, how council tax exemption applies to us, possible issues with landlords or getting an apartment because we are a couple, and anything else that may be important, from your experience.

That would be a personal choice. I lived in Garthdee during the whole period of my studies. It was quiet and laid back, but the downside is that I always had to buy a bus ticket to get to the city centre. The city centre is lively and closer to a lot of entertainment. All boils down to your preferences.
