Red overshot the turn and got on the accel later, while green took a tighter line and got on the accel earlier. Red prioritised entry whereas green prioritised exit (which is a must on overtakes). Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm 90% sure that's what it is.
Red missed the braking point taking to much speed pushing his arc past the apex and an ugly shape. Green done a textbook racing line. Go kart line is different to both where you late apex at shallower angle to get straight sooner on exit
This is New Castle Motorsports Park, I've raced there many times, ideally you wanna brake deep, about mid-way between the 2nd and 3rd seals across the track. Be back in gas at the start of the curb and apex anywhere past the 2/3rds point on the curb.
If the amount of food someone ate and/or pooped out prior to a race didn't matter so much with such light vehicles, I'd pay more attention. All of these places have "that one fast kart". It's the absolute worst when an amateur gets that kart then spends the end of the race explaining why he was so much faster, but with shitty strategies. Man, I'm in a mood. Id better get off the comment section.
You aren't finding a line. You are finding a roll into the corner using gas and minimal brakes. Whatever line gets you through quicker is what you want. There is no set line style bs
Sigh.....another worthless video about "the racing line"..... Here is a clue. STOP WORRYING ABOUT THE LINE. Start going to races....and the line is pretty obvious. It is where all the fast guys are going...follow them. They are going to be in front of you. You are slow because you have no feel for the limit, not because of your lines.
