This video will show you how to find the regression line by hand with an example. The regression line is y=a +bx (a is the constant and b is the slope) Thanks for learning ! Visit our website www.i-hate-math.com
Omg, my teacher didn't say anything about these at all, he just gave us the formula and didn't tell us how to find the variables, I feel like a weight has been lifted off my brain!!!
I almost left an 8 mark question open because I was stressing that I didn't understand it and this video helped me SO MUCH! You explained it so well! Wow, thank you.
You are wrong. The coefficient of the independent variable (x) of a linear equation is the slope. You can use any letter or word to denote a coefficient. I could say: Y = mx +b where m = slope; b = y - intercept
I wish you would have drawn the regression line on the graph. Where do we start our regression line and how to figure out exactly where the line goes?? "sigh" I give up!
Thank you ma'am I was really helpful for me because I had lots of difficulties in regression equation but now you have cleared my all difficulties God bless you ma'am Thank you very very much
Let suppose I have a regression equation >>> y = av^2+bv+c; Is there any method to calculate a, b and c from this equation. i mean to know the formulas in calculating these coefficients. I want to know the back calculation method. Thanks!
Y=mx+b is what I'm familiar with in America. B is the Y-Intercept and M is the Slope. I'm afraid to watch this video because I might corrupt my brain hahaha.
YOU MADAM are my SAVING GRACE!!! I cannot even start to describe how useless my university lecturer is seeing how complicated he made this seem. I better not meet him in real life after this pandemic, I'm gonna uhhhhhhh!!!! Thank you so much!!!
What if in the calculation of sumXY, there is 0 in x? Should we kept the original Y or sum it to 0? Am encounter this kind of problem, and if i use 0 in the multiplier, the result is wrong. Thank you
Please solve this question- Consider the linear regression model y = - 1.5x + 5.6 + e, where e is a normal random variable with mean 0 and variance O ^ 2 = 4 Determine the mean and standard deviation of when x = 2 and x = 4.5
