I'm so in love with haely that how she chooses people in her videos with real skin flaws, pimples and hyperpigmentation and different skin tones. Thank you always ❤️
She also never promotes flaws as bad things but rather normal and unique! She’s always saying how lovely or beautiful they look and gives tips on covering pimples and redness without making me feel like I have to
Hello, I'm from Indonesia. I tried this local foundation product that claimed for light cool skin. It match my skin perfectly but I have green, bluish, blue veins. Is that even possible? It's just that I'm afraid that it would turns out to be grayish without I realized. Thanks
To reiterate what everyone is saying, thank you for using models with skin that looks like mine! I have very pink cheeks, so I always bought a cool-toned foundation. Recently, I took a good look at my face and realized that I have yellow-neutral undertones, and that's why my neck and face looked so different. I've been looking for a new foundation shade without knowing how to find it, so your series came at the perfect time. I really appreciate it. Great video!
@@pickrose1805 I went to Sephora and got shade matched, and they tested the foundation on my neck instead of my cheeks/middle of my face like I would have done. Also, I found someone on RU-vid who has almost my same complexion, and I started taking her shade recommendations.
can you do a series on how to apply each product especially concealer, I have dark circles and I really don't know how to apply concealer and blend it fully
I think you can ask an assistant to help you find the right shade by using samples but if it’s at a local drugstore I can’t guarantee they can help. Good luck
Please do a video like this but for concealers! I can't find a concealer that I like the shade, coverage and texture. It is so hard!! They are either too light, dark, sheer, or too dry and they make me look older ugh! Help!
Haley is the beauty industry the way I always wanted it to be: diverse, inclusive, kind and natural beauty that comes from uplifting each other instead of achieving perfection alone. 💕Thank you.
I feel like I keep saying this but thank you so much for constantly encouraging natural and inclusive beauty, it makes everyone feel so loved 🤍 I hope your influence spreads far and wide! I don’t wear makeup these days except for a lippie as I really feel that I don’t need it, but I guess we’d need some foundation on if we’re attending a formal event or something. I’ll keep your tips here in mind^^ Would love to see some content about blushes on different skin tones! And highlighting as well hehe
My face is darker than my body, do you know how to even or fix this? I wear/apply proper spf for years and stay away from the sun, yet only during winter does my face matches my body
Maybe try a ton up cream before/ mixed with a foundation or apply it as a primer. You can get them in purple, rose or green most commonly (also sold as color correctors) and they help even out your skin before the foundation. Side effects of them is that it makes your skin a bit lighter. Helps if you only want to make it slightly lighter. Also the foundation could be bought in a slightly lighter shade. Or like the comment before said having skincare products that brighten your skin like vitamin c for a permanent fix.
I love how you chose different models with different skin textures!! As someone with porous ad textured skin, I just felt very seen and comfortable watching your videos
I have a problem where my face is darker than rest of my body. And I have redness. I tried to match my chest but my redness and darker shade still comes through making my face still darker than the body. I tried color correcting but it makes my makeup look heavy and cakey...sigh...I don't know what to do.. Does anyone else have this problem or solution to this? Any product recommendations?
You can go to a Mac Counter and ask for help in finding your shade then you can ask the foundation seller what shade is similar to your Mac shade. You can also find a RU-vidr with the same skin tone as you and check their reviews.
Thank you for creating this series! What about when your entire face is darker than your neck and chest? When I try to go a shade lighter, the foundation stands out significantly.
Haley thank you sooo much for this!! I really needed it!!:') Can you suggest drugstore foundation, makeup recommendation!! Also please do hair videos~ I have the same hair as you, I really wanna see your routines & fav products 🙏
I kind of have the opposite problem, my face is much darker than the rest of my body and it has always made me a little insecure. Swatching on my very pale, very yellow hand is useless so I've always tried to match at least my neck, but I love all the other tips too! It can be so easy to be misled into getting lighter + cooler shades to cover up redness or to try to match things.
I always look forward to your uploads! Thank you for encouraging everyone to embrace their uniqueness and natural beauty. I’ve been wearing less makeup because of all your tips and learning to be more confident in my own skin! ❤️
how if the face is darker than body and neck? 😭 im so confuse to choose a shade because of this. when i choose the shade that match with my body and neck, it looks kinda ashy on my face because it's lighter. but if i decided to match it with my face, my face looks dull😔
Hayleyyy you've inspired me to love my natural skin, now i feel confident. You are so great and i'm thankful for your effort to this channel. Love from Latin America. 💖💖
Haley, would love to see something on using BB creams as an option to foundations for natural make up, if you have not already covered that :) thank you for this video.
Thank you Haley. I struggled with finding the right foundation because I was matching it with the pinks of my cheeks or getting a shade darker to match the darker perimeter of my face. I’m a natural warm olive undertone so it’s tricky as well but now I know how to read the product labels and do swatch test thanks to you!
I don't think freckles are something to be covered as they are so beautiful already! I sometimes draw fake freckles even with eyeliner or brow products ahah but if you want to cover them, you can put little bit of concealer on the specific area :)
Thank you for working with different models! We really appreciate it because it actually helps us a lot in choosing the correct tone. I have had trouble picking the correct tone because of my redness and this advice was life saver. 💖
RU-vid: “ _How to find your BEST natural foundation_ ” Me: “white….I’ll have the white one.” RU-vid: “….its about figuring when your foundation is too light versus too dark and if the skin tone temperatu-” Me: “porcelain and ivory are my tones, warm shade is out” RU-vid: “ _You are beautiful just the way you are!_ ” Me: “I never doubted it….come here 💖🫦” RU-vid: “😳” Me: “🫂💋💦”
Hi Haley! Thank you so much for mentioning olive skin undertone! Would you be able to make a video on how to pick the right blush and eyeshadow colours for olive skin undertone? I think it'll help a lot of people if they know what colour tone should match their under tone! Thank you!!!
Haley I’ve been watching your videos for so long. Thanks to you, I finally learned how to do my makeup and I even started doing my friend’s. Your videos are so therapeutic and helpful 💜
If only you were around 20 years ago when I was clueless with putting on makeup at 18! Love the diversity in your videos, so needed in beauty industry.
Can someone plzzzz tell me what's the undertone of Haley bcz I think I've the same skin tone shade as her💜💜💜& yesssss Haleyyyy your videos are just so good It really admires us to embrace our beauty 💜💜
I just want to sincerely thank you for your video tutorials on makeup, especially those on concealer and olive skin. I didn’t have anyone to teach me, as a young woman, and have still struggled to find the right shades. Your tutorials are so clear! Even the makeup brand quizzes led me astray. Now I’m certain which of the 5 shades in my drawer is the right one for me, and I feel so pulled together and confident! Thank you!💖✨
God i couldve used this vid 5 years ago when i was buying multiple foundations that didnt match and had to make a cocktail mix everytime i did my makeup 💀💀
You could have used Lighter as well as darker Foundation shades on two halves of the face of models. And you could have chosen White, brown and dark skin models to show results on both sides of their faces. Also challenge is to chose from rose vs. Gold tones foundation for each skin color namely White, brown & dark. If you could show all six- the video will be useful.
I've been struggling to find the right shade, and your part explaining how to match if the outer perimeter is darker was so ON POINT! Thank you so much, this is frickin helpful! Please keep up the good work!
Thank you Haley! Learned a lot. Could you do a video on how to conceal texture (old acne scars)? End result as natural as possible, please? And thank you!
Watched your olive undertone video a few years back and it didn’t cross my mind my undertone is Olive. Bought a few more BB creams / foundation (despite COVID and mask wearing) and still feel all the shades I gotten were not perfect. Then I got inspired by you and stopped wearing foundation. Now I realised …. Cos it’s so hard to find correct shade for olive undertone. :’) Am crash watching videos on RU-vid on how to make those bottles of foundation I have to suit my undertone LOLOL Edit: my green primer has arrived, I tested and officially yes olive neutral skin tone. Lmao
I love how you are careful to really highlight the natural beauty of each person's skin tone. Everyone in this video is gorgeous! And thank you so much for addressing redness, my face is very pink and I'm never sure how to match it.
I will share a trick which I recently found. I'm not dark skinned but not very pale. But, founding a good shade foundation is a nightmare. Foundations are always dark or too light. I discovered a trick. Mixing foundation on my hand- 2 shades- a dark and a light one or with a moisturizer and applying with a foam. !!!
What is your foundation shade in .....fit me plsss plss kim help me bcz my tone my face is exactly like yourrr plsss I am requesting youu plsss Give me your tone foundation Which shade you are wearing plsss Bcz I am exactly like you
Thanks for this. Really helpful! I’d love to know if there are tips for choosing a foundation online when you don’t have too much experience of lots of different products. Maybe just one high street brand. Thanks, Olivia
The problem is that recently i buy my foundation online so it's hard to find my right shade : I used Missha BB cream n.23 it was close to my skin shade but after sometime it gives me grayish or darker look so i bought the cushion version but in n.21 and it was lighter than me 🤦 now i want try another brand but still don't know what shade suit me best
Plsss Haley plsss comments your foundation Which shade you are appling (fit me) I am form Indian...in india fit me foundation are available plss tell me your foundation shade
Hi Haley! Your series are always fun to watch and looking forward to the new episodes. If you don't mind, would you make a tutorial to look decent and formal for work with less makeup products? Thank you so much! Keep up the good work💘
Im 31. It took me till 29/30 to realize how to properly match my foundation. I ignore my face all together! I go by my neck! My face is lighter than rest or my body.I also have some redness around base of my nose area. So for years I was buying foundations that were VERY pale ( Porcelain& Ivory) with cool undertones. It would match my face but once I was done my makeup & dressed id ALWAYS notice I looked sickly pale or VERY pink.... THEN I started mixing 2 foundation OR used a tinted moisturizer/BB cream & be so sheer it didnt matter rly. When I mixed, It was usually a very light cool toned foundation with a few shades darker cool toned foundation. Because if I applied a warm, neutral foundation right onto my face. ORANGE. When I realized I was nutreal undertone AND was more of light/med shade. Mind blown! In the winter I go back down toward light side again, but not the very 1 or 2nd shade of the brand.
This is literally a blessing for me that I found your channel. I have started to take interest in makeup as it often a game changer.. and your videos are absolutely beginner friendly and easy to understand as well as implement in real life. Your inclusion of all kinds of skin colour, textures and pigmentation is just amazing ❤️
I feel super grateful to the people in the makeup community who are so inclusive. As someone with darker skin, it can be hard to find tutorials when everyone is white. I’m happy I found this video
I love this, I haven’t finished the video, but I’m really glad for the different skin tones. I’m very light compared to the majority of humans BUT, I have very Interesting skin tone due to my single copy of the redhead gene. I’ve only recently found out about it due to dna testing and have seen it first hand affect my ability to take meds. If it can do that, it can do the same with make up. It feels like it’s a new phenomenon where you have not just shades abut hues in make up. As I gotten older the color of my face has changed a lot, particularly between different parts of it. I like how she frames it as “diminishing the natural beauty of natural skin”, I couldn’t articulate it before. But I like this, particularly now I’m not really in front of the camera. It looks fake because the face not always one color. I like how this video shows people who don’t have flawless skin as well. I have cystic acne and it’s a literal pain for me to try to deal with my face. I know I need a daily moisturizer strong enough to help with my dry skin and having it tinted helps minimize the drastic changes particularly when my face is throwing a tantrum. I don’t want to have to have scruff to hide my acne and the scars. Facial hair makes it harder for me to properly exfoliate and moisturize the skin.
Jesus is coming back. Are you born again? If not, secure your eternity today. You do not have to go to hell. Jesus paid the price for all your sins. If you want to be born again Say the following prayer but you also have to believe it: Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins that you was buried and rose from the dead the third day. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.
I have two main problems: (i) my face is neutral undertone and my hands are warm undertone. Should I just stick to the face undertone? My neck don't show so I don't need to match it, but when people see both my face and hands at the same time, it's quite obvious 😞 (ii) I have a preferred foundation formula but it doesn't have the correct undertone and shade - is it alright to mix the light and dark shades of the correct undertone (idk if I'm making any sense); and if I'm really pressed for budget which should I choose - Lighter then bronze or darker then highlight 😭
I was wondering if you could make a video finding your undertone and shade with cushion foundations, specifically Korean cushions. I'm always confused by the numbers and shades.
Hiii...My skintone is same as that of Iman's skintone... Could anyone please suggest appropriate foundation shades other than fanty beauty please... Please suggest name of the brand foundation along with shade. Thank you
Hi ♥️ can you tell me a few brands that have an light olive foundation? I've been strugling for sooo long... I have a gray/green undertone and live in Italy, inside the stores they never have a this tipe of product 🥲 so I must search online, which is crazy
I am one straight woman. However, after I saw Haley, gosh... she's very beautiful and her eyes are so dreamy and now I started to question my own sexuality!
I would like to know what shade would suit Divya, since I am Indian and have similar face colour. Also my face is slightly darker than my neck and chest.. could you help me with how to proceed with it?
