How To Find Your Handlettering Style | How To Handletter 

I’m making a journal for my D&D character and wanted to give her her own hand writing, especially since she’s a kid. This is really helpful

I think another helpful tip is looking at the style of other people. Even among RU-vidrs, they have different hand lettering styles. For example, you have a bit rounded and shorter style, Amanda Rach Lee has longer style, Sunshine and Stationeries has a longer style too, but hers differs from Amanda’s. Another way I figured out my own style (which is in no way perfect, but I am a lot comfortable lettering it), is by surfing through Pinterest. I would search up ‘modern calligraphy quotes’ or ‘handlettering quotes’ and try to letter in the same way. This eventually led me to figuring out what styles I like and am comfortable with and what I don’t like. Yet another way I found my style is by downloading lots of calligraphy fonts on Phonto and typing out the alphabet. Whenever I felt confused on how to letter a letter or just wanted a different way to create the letter, I’d just type the letter in different fonts and try to copy the one I liked the best (my favorite fonts are Naila and BettyBetty from Dafont but the names might have changed). Now, my lettering style is a frankenstyle of your lettering style, a few fonts, some Pinterest lettering style and other few youtubers. Also, I have a request. Could you make a video on flourishes? Your videos, I find, are a lot easier to understand and try out. Thank you!

I wanna ask you what's the name of that black and white brush pen in your hand and can you suggest some firm brush pens big ones cause I find it very difficult to letter with my super jiggly camlin brush pens and plz affordable as many of them are not available in India .yup even not on Amazon.
