Whenever I'm working on a piece, and the yarn ball has a lot of extra yarn that might tangle, I figured out that I could just finger knit the pile of yarn so that it'll keep together in a neat and organized pile. It's a lot easier to manage the yarn this way. And then I just unravel the finger knit yarn, and it goes right into the piece I'm working on. It's very convenient! Make sure you start where the yarn ball is, and finger knit until you reach the tail end of the yarn, so that you can unravel it afterwards for your piece. If you do it the other way around, you can't unravel the yarn!
Who else tried this but got their fingers stuck in yarn Edit: I finally learned how to knit after stress over getting stuck in yarn mess and crochet was a little hard to do Ok fine I gave up then after a day I tried and tried….

@@user-fv6gy1tt3h honestly, I used to do this many years ago and even now I still couldn't tell you. Lol It really produces a rope of sorts. Fairly strong and cushiony. But for what? I couldn't say. (Plant hanger?) But this is maybe what my generation did before fidget spinners I guess.
This is so fun and easy. I knew how to finger knit before I saw the video, but still it is so 🤩 and fun. It works better with thick string. Also, I competed with my friend one to see who could make the longest one, so definitely try that.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Tip: try to make sure on each finger the thread or whatever you are using is not sliding off. when i first learned to finger knit it kept sliding up and/or off which ruined my peice! keep practicing you’ll get a hang of it ALSO- if you need to stop just clip it at the end and start the next time when ur ready, and start a new peice. then, when u finish that 1 off, tie that one to the other u had made before.

This was so fun to do snd the result came up great it is so simple and easy youre the best every other knitting,crocheting was hard for me im 11 years old my mom was so happy seeing the result if anyone asks, yes this does work!
I did it different to that, to begin with just 2 loops on the middle finger and little finger, and 1 loop on the index finger and ring finger, then just continue like you do with French knitting, it comes out looking the same has yours
HIII!!! this helps so so much, but it makes a thin line of the knitted yarn. if you wanna make a big scarf, make sure you have 2 ( or 3) long long peices of knit and then stitch or sow it together
POV: When ur trying to find a video that makes a bucket hat using fingers or actual sticks cuz u don't have a crochet stick 6mm but can't find a video like that :,]
