Great video! Have you noticed any warping of the table top due to not adding any Poly to the underside of the kennel top? I would think not having 2-3 coats of poly on the bottom to the 4 coats on top would lead to uneven moisture wicking of the wood.
That's a great point. I went back to check and it has warped some but not enough to notice. It has been inside ever since it was complete so I wonder how it may warp when I move or if it was ever stored somewhere else.
Without poly or some protective top coat the wood can beome damaged easily by water, food, scratches, etc. Stain by itself does not protect the wood, but if you just want the color without protection then you could risk it.
