Today I'm sharing how to firm your face at home and putting the Peter Thomas Roth face lift tightener to the test, does it work? I recently tested the Peter Thomas Roth instant firmx eye lift and that works like a dream! It instantly lifted my under eyes. So I was curious to try the face lift tightener to see if it's as good as the eye gel. I tested this using it as a mask, with my moisturizer, in foundations to see if it would firm and lift my face.This temporary skin tightener says it can be used with a foundation, a moisturizer or used as a mask. This is not something that's anti aging but it claims to erase the appearance of forehead creases, 11's, crow’s feet, large pores, and nasal-labial folds. Of course this is temporary. You'll see me demonstrate this along with close up views of what my skin really looks like. So does this work?

I have been using it and love it, no reaction and following the instructions to get rid of the white residue works perfectly. I had no reaction to it at all, except it helped the lines on my forehead and massively my smile lines! Make up over the top and no problems at all.

I just adore you! You are so real and I love that you show exactly what you’re doing. It is so helpful and I think sometimes products that freeze & swell our sagging/wrinkles harm the elasticity in the long run. I used something like this for years and it ultimately aged my skin .You are a beauty!💗

Ur not using enough, no where near enough. And I'd use it before the makeup. Apply it thickly like a mask and wait as long as u can, then rinse and its magic! I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!❤🙌🏽

You cracked me up when you said your face felt like it would crack if you smiled and then you tried not to laugh. Scary the reaction you had, so glad it didn’t last long. Hi Anne... I got a sample of this from Sephora. The sales clerk gave me enough to try this for a week . I tried all different ways , with my fingers, a brush, a sponge. I didn’t notice anything. It’s a no for me too! I’m enjoying your new series btw💕

This only works in small areas such as frown lines on clean slightly damp skin. It takes a few minutes to dry and tighten the frown lines and then use a light SPF powder on top. Works great in this way for frown lines. Over time these lines get softer with continued use.

Thanks so much for your honest opinion and tutorial I too LOVE the eye stuff and was going to purchase the face cream but will not do so now Even the eye cream has major drawbacks- white residue and can’t mix with foundation I have to apply it short of my under eye area and it ends up looking like I have highlighter on under eyes lol

I would have run out and bought it! No t this time! Thanks! The eye stuff by PTR works okay, I would have thought this worked, too. I dont really wear foundation, just powder and some illuminating product- a very subtle one, because otherwise it makes me look oily. I use the plexaderm stuff on my eye bags as well and that does work as long as I use a tiny amount.

Yeah save your money. This stuff is horrible. I'm actually surprised they're still making it because I don't know who can use this unless one can use it as a mask. As long as you don't have a reaction like I did.

I dont wear foundation and I am 55. I apply my retin-a mixed in my lotion and let that dry. I also apply my liner and mascara so I don't have to pull at my eyes. I then take about the size of a pea to under BOTH my eyes. Within about 1 - 3 minutes I am literally watching my wrinkles disappear. I dont get any white powder residue and it lasts my whole day at work. I love the Peter Thomas Roth FirmX face tightener!

I don't really have nasolabial folds. Maybe it looks like I do when I smile? I'm filming under lights which makes areas of my face more noticeable with the light reflecting on my shiny face so powder makes it look more matte.

AnneP makeupandmore so I used the firmx over my skincare. I used a concealer brush and used a very small amount on my wrinkle lines. Then went over with foundation. It worked well for me.

I had the exact same issue and even the redness on my face after it! Loved the eye firm but definitely not the face one. But I wonder if it would be mixed in with primer 🤔

Uh, that would be a no for me too!! My skin is dry and I can only imagine how that would feel on my face! I have noticed that anything that has that tightening feeling on my face or around my eyes would just make bad matters worse! Lol oh dear I’d call that an “epic fail”! Well your eyeshadow looks fabulous again. Elisabeth Arden use to make a product for tightening that apparently really worked. It was before my time, my ladies would swear by it. Of course they no longer make it.😏

Not filling them but I use products to plump my skin which makes my lines not look as visible. Cuz I don't have botox fillers or anything in my face. One that I'm using right now is by Drmtgy. It does work but it is $69 there's another one by the skin Diva and it's called Botox in a bottle at has Argireline and I believe that one is between 25 and $35 I can't remember . Much cheaper and does basically the same thing so you might want to try something like that. You have really deep lines is I going to get rid of them but it may eventually soften them up so they don't look as deep. But you have to keep using it to see the results. Another thing that you can do is use a retin A or retinol but again that's going to take time using it for a while before you get results.

Oh my Anne!!! 😱 that WAS a reaction!!! Hope you return it, the brand needs to know that kind of feedback too for their sake. Hard pass for me! I’ve got allergic reactive sensitive skin and have to be extremely careful. Patch tests are a good idea for anyone else who can react badly.

Honestly, for me less is more. I really don’t use anything on my face other than a good moisturizer and once in a while I exfoliate. Btw, I LOVE your lip color. 🤗

I was bought this as a present. Its ok under the chin, and it smooths. Cant use it on my face, just feels weird. My foundation dosent go on as smooth. Remember the Nivea serum craze. It literally stopped Nivea making it. My overbuying paid off i still have 2. Just started using them. Nip fab did a nice serum. And Boots UK has their own serum. Its always sold out. Its all temporary. Nivea brought out a new version Cellular filler its firming. Not tried it xxx 💕❤💞🐈🐾🐾

I have tried this a number of ways and all I get is blotchy white spots even when I use a damp cloth to take off what they say is excess. It messes up my foundation and looks awful. It really doesn't do anything. Waste of $$

Use it alone and use more that that ... I mix a drop of water to make it thinner , apply it wherever and and lay down or tilt head back and wait to dry or dry face with hair dryer on low cool if you’re in a hurry. Don’t rinse lol ... . It works ... you have to learn to use it and then apply foundation over but don’t rub it all off . You want it dry before you put on make up .... don’t use anything like greasy over it

I don't think so. The face tightener caused a reaction on my face.

You’re too funny but I’m sure you weren’t laughing after that reaction to your face. It seemed to come on so quickly too. Glad it went away though. I’ll definitely be skipping this product.. I don’t like a matte, tight feeling at all. Thanks for the heads up Annie 😊👍

You really aren’t supposed to apply anything on top of it. Especially liquid foundation.

It's awful period. The PTR eye firm is fabulous this is not. I had a weird reaction to this as well.

After ordering it I realised it didnt say anywhere, I could find,that it could be used under makeup. I tried to get a refund because of false advertising or omitting things.Couldnt get a refund. It doesnt work under makeup

Oh no that's not good! Yeah this was not good! It does say you can mix it with makeup but trust me you can't🤣It's a horrible product! Sorry you wasted your money.
