@bassresource I like the last video about jig heads and grubs. The way I fish them is I use a 1/16 or 1/32 oz crappie jig with a white grub and trophy bass. I let jig fall 3 to 4 seconds. Then I reel moderate speed no more than 3 to 4 seconds let jig fall 2 seconds pop rist subtly. Then let it fall 2 seconds and retrieve again 3 to 4 seconds. I've caught several nice bass and smallies fishing jig this way. If it's hot I will angle rod tip if It's really hot or early fall as it gets cooler. The rig your showing now I use a 6 inch leader size 1, 2 or 4 with a 1/10 oz egg weight. I put trophy bass on a worm or smoky blue zero z too I throw rig let it fall. As it settles I pop rod tip let it settle wait 3 to 5 seconds gently pop wrist popping wrist 2 inches very subtle and caught lots of fish. Yes I also lift and as I drop arm to lower bottom let it settle. I do this rig 2 ways. I raise my arm let it fall or gently pop hand 4 to 6 times. Then turn reel really slow 1/4 turn. Then repeat.

I've fished very similar finesse rigs out here on Rayburn, more difficult with the bottom being more brushed up and the dirtier water. But this tips are something helpful, and it's in comparison to how we catch them when the bite is tough during the cooler periods. Thanks guys!

my go-to way to fish in small creeks when you find a deep spot around a downed tree/blockage or such. It lets the grub fall nicely into those hard to reach spots.
