Thanks Andrew another great episode. How about showing us Garmin people how you set up your sonar. Deep structure and shallow water settings and how you use them would be awesome. Hard to find good Garmin set up tutorials. Thanks again and good luck out there!

I still use a jika rig I love the rig. I go with bell weight and hook straight onto the ring and tie onto the ring. Haven't even tried the tokyo rig but I'm going to try it this yr.

I used to use the bell weight, but transitioned to the long tungsten drop shot weight. Makes it stand up a little further off of the bottom.

Ive made a couple homemade tokyo rigs by cutting the wire off an old spinnerbait and getting a hook swivel and split ring and put it all together

Only issue I have with the Jig Rig is I can’t interchange hooks and weight sizes as easy. But yes, this concept is a mod of that rig for sure!

I will definitely have to try it your way with that snap seems alot easier than 2 split rings and what i usually do for the other way i just go to walmart get a couple of those $1 spinnerbaits and cut the wire off it easy to make different lengths

The snap makes life much easier. You can change out the weights much faster too.
