I must be missing out. I’ve tried jog fishing a few times. But always went back to a lipless crank. I don’t know why. I can’t seem to have any luck with jigs
Master Class!! One of the best teaching fishermen in the game! Great stuff T!! One of the things I love about fishing is I’m always learning new and better ways to catch fish!
Thanks Tyler, I appreciate you sharing your knowledge. Having a box full of jigs is great, but knowing how to properly use all of them is really the way to go. Keep up the good work, and God Bless.
I decided to finally commit and build some confidence with a jig this season and it has definitely paid off big time. Its like after getting my first bite on a jig, something just clicked and my confidence in them skyrocketed. Jigs definitely have a spot in my tacklebox.
If you are bored like me here is a great recipe for a Beef Taco Skillet (it’s pretty good) INGREDIENTS- 1 pound ground beef 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell’s® Condensed Tomato SoupRegular or Healthy Request® or Classic Tomato Soup 1/2 cup Pace® Picante Sauce 1/2 cup water 6 flour tortilla (6-inch), cut into 1-inch pieces 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (about 2 ounces) DIRECTIONS Step 1 Cook the beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until well browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat. Step 2 Stir the soup, picante sauce, water and tortillas in the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir the beef mixture. Top with the cheese. Enjoy! Consider looking at my channel or dropping a like I do fishing videos and tips (jk you do what you want 😂 have a good day!)
So clear! Thank you , heading out tomorrow heading west on I 70. Stopping for sundown bites and sunup bites until I reach a Colorado trout River or not. Weather permitting and as I see fit. I’m fairly new but pretty old. Without a boat. Pointers always appreciated
I am glad you put this video out I have been wanting to try to fish with a jig but was I guess intimidated by them now I think I have a lil more understanding of them and can't wait to fish some as soon as I purchase a few lol
Really awesome video man! Love your videos they're very educational and are great for young anglers like me. It's awesome having a RU-vidr legitimately just teach, and not just promoting their own baits non-stop. Keep up the great stuff.
I caught stubborn bass on a mini footballjig and i was blown away because I had been fishing that area with swim baits and other craw soft baits.. threw one on and they started coming out for it and caught two back to back till they caught on
This was my first bait with Dinger on it 4 different ways. Is been my go too. Every lake is different what the fish like to eat. But the jig is the one for all plastic can go on them.
Another very informative video Tyler👍 thank you. I had no idea there was different types of jigs. Now I know🤙 I think I’m going to give the swim jig a try.
Thanks so much Tyler this video was super helpful I’ve been fishing the Arkie head and football jigs all wrong can’t wait to catch more fish oh them now👍🏻
I thought I was using my jig correctly and I wasn’t catching anything. After the video I adjusted my technique and started catching huge bass. I tip my hat to you Tyler 👍🏼🎣
your video's made me a better senko angler! thanks! however, I can't seem to catch a fish on my swim jigs. probably because I tried using swim jigs at the beginning of fall. I live in the northeast.
I had some fishing tackle and gear given to me last year by an older friend after I started fishing more, I used to as a kid a lot. It was his wife's now deceased first husband before they both met. I have figured out what a lot of the things were now that I didn't know then and one of them is one of these jigs. The first time I saw and held it, I was like, "What the heck is this or what is it even supposed to look like."? Then I saw the thumbnail for this video and now I know.
Lol, I was like you, not a fan of jigheads and spinnerbaits but have seen the light. I am learning how to use a greater diversity of tools in tackle box.
@@TylersReelFishing so I purchased a swim jig due to all of the vegetation in most of the small ponds and reservoirs around me. Should I have purchased a slower jig? Most of the bottoms are muddy here in Northwest Ohio.
It's been my mission the past couple seasons to get a feel for fishing a football jig but I never seems to dedicate enough time to it. What do you think is the best time of year to throw the football jig? I'm in Northern Illinois so very similar weather patterns to Minnesota but our winters aren't quite as harsh.
I’ve never been able to catch a fish on a jig in my life. Went with another guy we was using the same jig and trailer and he was smoking them and I never got a bite 🤷🏼♂️
Used to lack confidence to throw a big, they looked to snaggy, but I picked up one the other day and I'm sold. And its an arkie jig, they're at walmart.
Literally bought a spinnerbait for my first time fishing with fake bait in a while, I've never had good luck with anything but live bait (probably was technique) but I caught a 31inch Northern Pike yesterday :) Thanks to these videos
Most swim jigs utilize a light wire hook, for those I use 15 to 17 pound flouro and for heavier grass I use braid and a heavier hooked swim jig. I can bend out the standard hook with braid with my hook set.
This may sound crazy but I have a hand tied brush jig. It has a different shape than a football jig. I have caught my pb jig fish on it by accident, I sat it down to eat a sandwich in 40 foot of water and the action of the water and waves set the hook and it was a three pound spot in clear water. I am moving into more jig fishing. My question is, there is no difference between the football, right? Brush jig, brush only or just more brush than normal plus deep dragin?
I'm building a camper van now and will be taking myfisging rod with me any suggestions what sort of lure is the best? And in regards t the van check how I'm building it in on my channel.
Def depends on what want where your fishing but a small inline spinner is good for most species and can be picked up at any walmart or tackle shop. Best of luck
I threw my first jig yesterday fishing the mouth of a drain/creek and caught my pb at 3.5lbs. Then proceeded to get it stuck on a log and lose it forever :)
Question! How many jigs do you lose every summer when you’re fishing around wood/rocks? I always seem to get em snagged.. Haven’t really known how to fish a jig, got a few this summer and I’m excited to get back an try em out! Definitely appreciate the video.
