Ever wonder how people put together big bags of bass in Florida and seem to do it everyday? Well if their's any sort of good offshore vegetation growing in that lake I guarantee you that's where they're coming from. That's right our Florida lakes have all this juicy looking grass and reeds growing around them but if their's a good population of offshore grass available guess what? They aren't in it. They're going to be offshore.
Offshore hydrilla can be one of the most consistent largemouth bass bites you'll ever find. Day in and day out you can catch them in nearly all kinds of weather. And big ones too...
Finding these magical spots and figuring out what to use is relatively simple. Check out this video of me and my dad fishing one day and you'll find out!

Awesome video man! Enjoyed your take on attacking Toho with the jerkbait. What kind of set up do you throw them on (rod wise)? I see you go straight braid. Keep the vids coming!

Thanks man appreciate it! I'm using a 6' 8" medium heavy rod with a 7.1 gear ratio reel with 30-40lb braid. You need that braid to rip it through the hydrilla. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Orlando Bass cool, thanks man! Definitely need to give those jerks a run next time I’m out there. I always end up locked in on speed worms and Big Ezs on Toho. Side note - had our club tourney out there last Saturday. Wind was blowing something fierce!

@@bpaquin83 Yeah speed worms and Big Ezs are Lake Toho staples but a jerkbait can beat them all if used right. And yeah last week we had too much wind and this week we have too little!
