Also, the eBay link says in BLOCK capitals that the screen does not fit any other vent.

That's what I like about you your honest about things and you go through things slowly and precisely I like your foot action when you're fitting things i pulled a muscle in my back yesterday so was just playing my guitar all day so when I was watching your video the first thing that came into my head was the song (BLINDED BY THE LIGHT) now I can't get the song out of my head cheers mel for that 😁🎸🎶🎶🙀

same here Mel ,,, I cut some window shade and fitted it ,,,, Now i sleep till 6.30 am ,,,,, Also you can get the dark tinted replacement perspex for the top

G Day I got the clear top for the little extra light when filming didn’t think about sleeping in at the time 😂😂👍🍻

Mel, I dunno if it’s been mentioned but I e fitted this blind and had the same issue. All you do is slightly undo the screws mate and the blind will slide back and forth with no problems. It will also hook open and closed with no problems too. 👏👌

Try putting extra spacers in to lift the unit off the cladding a touch - might just be enough extra clearance for the blind to operate more smoothly. :-)

I ordered a fiamma rollo thing just a few days ago for my cheaper fiamma vent, I'll let you know if it fits and works any better on mine. You're going to have start wearing a hard hat

Hey Mel, they gave u 1 extra spacer just in case u lose or break one 😁 How come your fan dont have a cover on top on the exterior or does it but not tinted? usually they do have a tinted cap...

I found out MaxxFann now sells something very similar, and yeah it looks a little cheap. I am probably going to buy it because i screwed up cutting the trim piece and it will be way too short when I clad the ceiling...so the screen would cover the hole, how is it working out for you?

Hi. I am thinking about buy it for the same but I need to ask you a question. When your skylight is closed and you put this darkening gadget, there is still any exterior light ? I can see in your video some light throw the mini holes but in that case the main skylight is open. What happens when it is totally closed? Thanks

You do get some little light coming though if you really want completely dark you can get a solid white lid for the roof vent 👍

Mel, another quick question. Hope you don't mind. Is a floor vapour barrier needed? I see a lot of other channels suggest they are. It's quite a hassle to do if if not needed. What's your opinion?

Damn I wish I'd known about that vent... Would have made a curtain for that too. On the other hand, such a suspended curtain wouldn't be as dark as this Fiamma thing would. Perhaps you'd paint the fiamma frame blue like your cabinets then it would look nicer than it's flimsyness

If You are afraid of corona virus on the package, you should not have brought it in to the van. If it is on the package, it's on the bench now, and if it is on the bench it's just a question of time before it's on you...and so on. Take care, Mel and yes, that will give You a lot better sleep :)
