Looks like the lock block within the door was missed. The drill drops in to the door at 1:05

That door looks a little thin for a 5 lever deadlock one kick and that door with probably split

It's not a security door. It's just a domestic lock for a bedroom or similar.

In most European countries we got into the habit of sticking deadlocks in everything. No idea why.

Door was hung the wrong way around,he didn't drill through a lock block,and you shouldn't really use an auger bit.

I’ve never done any woodwork and joinery in my life and was about to follow this tutorial to fit a bedroom door lock until I came across this comment and decided against following this tutorial

@@Cal-Capone The procedure and steps the OP used are good, just needed more precision and care when marking out. Give it a go, otherwise you will never know if you can do it or not. Just go slow and as they say, measure twice - cut once.
