Thankq, that was I great help, 1 problem when I came 2 the wiring, brown 2 orange I connected 2 the wrong wire as there r 2 , it's the thin 1 ,all sorted now , thanks 4 your help , much appreciated
I fitted my tow bar using this video(I problem to over come is the nuts that hold the bumper/heat shield, you need a special tool-or do like I did and use a socket with a drilled hole in it a put a screw in it)but a good video to watch and do
just used this to mount my towbar all on now run out of time just got to cut bumper and run electrics but found it useful as the instructions wasnt working on my own so car was on ramps i used jack to raise bar up to bolt it through rear bulk head
Did you not need to put any relays or anything in between the trailer wires and car loom? Thanks for the video I'm just about to do mine on my mondeo too
Got a problem! I've got it all wired up but seem I have constant power or something. Side lights are constantly working on trailer unit when engine is off and have to unplug. Why? Is it 12v power, ground not correct?
One question about the electrics, can I ask why you didn't fit either a separate indicator warning light in the front, or an indicator buzzer box to the car, for when a trailer/caravan electrics are plugged in, as it is a legal requirement
I have a problem? I've connected mine all up although seem to have perm live going to trailer lights so lights are always on and have to disconnect the trailer plug to prevent battery drainage.
I've connected to a 54 Plate Ford Mondeo. I've done this the same way as in video, although the plug was pre attached to Towbar when I bought it so unless incorrectly wired to plug but everything else work fine expect lights are always on when the car is off which is wrong
@@StraightCutMotorcycles2018 Ok, thanks does that mean you need to take an extra cable over to the side. I have a citroen Picasso 05 and l am finding out it is multiplex, so might need a relay or a plug n play kit. All getting complicated.
