Holy hell. I have been dealing with this for years. I thought it was the slow internet connection that i get up here at my cabin. Nope. It is the exact problem that you describe here! A million thanks! And a new subscriber for you! ;)

I’ve been having exactly the same issue! I use Velop mesh and a ton of Aqara & Eufy HomeKit compatible devices. As a Hob, I use HomePod Mini and 4K ATV ans ive been getting “no response”messages about every hour and it ruins my scenes, automations and controls for lights. You can just imagine the frustration of my wife!😂 I’ll try your fix. Hope this works. Thanks!

How about getting updating indefinitely on all devices except hubs until you get with in a few feet of an access point? I have admin and remote access turned on. Only the account owner can access HomeKit remotely.

My Honeywell thermostat disconnects from home app constantly. And usually the fix is just to go into the Honeywell app and then go into the HomeKit app and it’s back up. But I’ve spoken to Honeywell and they just blame Apple. And I’ve spoken to Apple and they say the same thing that I’m thinking. Since it’s only the thermostat and everything else in my home stays connected, it has to be their product. How do I fix this?

Im so tired trying to see how I was using Apple TV hub. I use to have it set it up the way I can turn off my tv but my Apple TV light it was always on. Now that I upgrade my internet connection, my Apple TVC turn off completely and when I’m away I can’t see anything from my security cameras, please help me! 😞🙏🏽

Even in standby your Apple TV will still operate as a hub as long as you haven’t disabled it in the settings

Do you think it's a Apple Tv problem? I've never really heard the "no response" from ppl that have a Homepod mini. Or even the Big Homepod. I get no response several times a day all the time for going on a year. I've tried everything and I can't get it to be reliable. I've resorted to getting a $30 Google speaker and just asking it to do commands or going to the Google Home app (on my iPhone) and controlling my smart products that way. And I've never had connection issues with Google

I’ve found it happens when you have an Apple TV + any other device like an iPad or other hub. The tv always wants to be default but on some firmware’s it going to sleep. That said I’ve found it better on the latest firmwares.

Are one of your other devices set as the default home hub? If so disable them and try again. Also please note this only applies if you have reliable HomeKit devices. If you’re using “adapted” HomeKit devices this doesn’t guarantee anything with those as usually the reason they fail to connect is down to IP designation/leasing issues.

Are the bulbs powered on? If you turn a Wi-Fi bulb off from the switch they won’t work. You have to effectively control them using the app/smart assistants to turn them on/off. My experience with LIFX is largely good, even when switched off, when switched back on you can control them within seconds. I have Aqara light switches and control them through HomeKit rather than the bulbs, bulbs I only use when I want to change colour temperature or change to solid colours for parties .

Is the Apple TV showing as connected or standby? If standby you have no hub working and that’s why you get no response

Only thing I can suggest is Test it on 4G and see if you still get no response, if you do it’ll be a config issue on your Wi-Fi, if it’s the same then the Apple TV isn’t actually connected and you may need to power cycle both again.

That’s just test script to see if it actually shows up on other peoples HomeKits in the same way 👍🏽 My HomeKit system is my alarm now and it doesn’t need a code.

I updated my iPhone, watch, and appletv yesterday. Got home from work this morning and one Hue light will not respond. I replaced it. Everything seems to work now. After seeing this, I am wondering if I shouldn't have tossed that bulb in the trash. lol

Yeah that wouldn’t have been my first port of call 😂 “Smart tech” should always be troubleshooted before replacing.

@@MATechRU-vid It doesn't turn on. It was one of two in the overhead and one worked, the other wouldn't. I removed the light and without it powering up, I couldn't read it.

I’ve never bought Philips products as I think they’re overpriced for what they are but I would’ve suggested contacting them, most of my light bulbs are LIFX and whenever I’ve had any issues with their bulbs they’re simply sent out replacements no questions asked.
