How to fix a broken Gnome login screen on Linux 

Ctrl + Alt + F 1 to F6, none of these key combinations works for my situation. It's gdm3. Any help ?

Thank you. I was customizing my lock screen and suddenly I lost it lol. Ctrl + Alt + f4 helped me and I know what to do. I use manjaro btw.

Oh my god!!!! You're a life saver. I was trying to fix my finger print reader in my laptop which was obviously not supporting. I did some installation and rebooted and there login not working. I knew how to fix the fingerprint issue but had to open the terminal to do so Thanks a lot!!!

What controls the number of bad password attempts before the username prompt comes up? My system only allows you to attempt 3 passwords before prompting for username. Id like to extend this to 10 attempts before having to respecify user. Help with this would be greatly appreciated!
