Had to hard rebooted during a install now the drive shows up on neither my laptop or desktop it sees the unallocated partition but lets me change nothing…. I had 2tb of games on here and just want to recover as much as possible….
What was your issue as I’m currently having a steam issue all of my games on my D Drive have disappeared… I’ve spent the past 3 and a half hours trying to resolve this issue
Seriously, this one did fix my ssd problem. I'm so confused why my ssd suddenly didn't responding after i leave my laptop on while still opening my excel work, i leave it until my laptop running out of batteries. Next time i tried to continue my work, i can't open my ssd at all it's just not responding w/o any disk sound. I tried many other methods before this but found this vid accidentally, i did chkdsk and good lord thanks it's back to normal. The problem is this laptop belong to my working company, so i kinda a little bit panic. Thanks again!
whenever i plug in my hard drive my entire laptop slows down. The only thing i downloaded on it was a couple of pictures so idk why its corrupted. I wont be able to check command prompt if i need it plugged in since it wont load
Bro same, every single solution says to reformat and defrag it but I can’t as long as it’s plugged in, nothing will load until I unplug it. You find any fix yet?
@@reberror7942 nope. I plugged it in to a different part of my laptop and it made my laptop faster when it was in but still way too slow to load anything
It means your boot drive is locked. You need to reboot your PC from your windows installation disk. Then go to repair my computer. Then advanced options. Go to command prompt and run chkdsk from there.
Bro in step 1 it says: (The type of the file system is Raw. CHKDSK is not available for raw drives.) Also when i open d drive it says ( you need to format the disk) but when i format it. Windows error load up giving error (KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED) checked yt for this error but nothing worked Please help!!!
I have a portable SSD, not external storage just one of those square sized portable storages.. I have two separately from gaming and movies as well backup software for programming PCs.. The one i have now is current repair.. I do not want the files to be deleted😢
PLZ HELP ASAP. so i opened starfield on my gaming SSD and then blue screen. after restart i had no sign of the drive. unplugged and plugged back in. i tried a brand new SATA and nothing, tried all of these disk management refreshes and windows updates and everything in this video still to no avail. i only have my C: drive.
I would use a different connection on your motherboard. Or look for any firmware, windows or other updates by your motherboard manufacturer. Try plugging it into a different computer too so you can see if the hard drive is just bad.
@LuckyStrikeTech the drive does show up on occasions when booting in the morning and have changed cable and slot, also tested in another system and the drive is fine
I was trying to transfer data on my PS5 and I accidentally pulled a plug disconnecting it and now the External Storage isn’t showing. I tried to do that Command Prompt thing yet it says access denied as you do not have sufficient privileges or the disk may be locked by another process. You have to invoke this utility running in elevated mode and make sure the disk is unlocked. When I did the Wmic diskdrive get status. Status OK.
My Windows OS is corrupted and cannot restore or rollback to a past state. When I tried to rollback, I got error 0x80070571, does this mean my Harddrive is dying?
Sorry guys! Yes this is a sign your hard drive probably needs to be reformatted and windows installed. But I would try at least recovering your files by plugging it into another computer by taking the drive out
My hard disk shows up but then when i open it, it crashes my whole file explorer and when i tried to format or update the hard disk, it shows not responding and crashes the whole computer but if i unplug it none of that happens. Any fixes?
hello can anyone help me please. so i have this kinda old pc but it's working fine before. so i put it on the side for almost a year now, when i tried to open it it was stuck on the windows loading screen i mean when the windows 7 logo is going to appear it will suddenly stop and not move anymore, was that a faulty hdd problem? because when i go to the bios the pc works completely fine my new ram i installed was recognized and completely okay

Open disk management you will find unallocated space and right click on it and create new path then choose what letter yoy want then next then you got a fix
Hey i downloaded some files then a notification came saying disk has a problem restart now (i didn't finish the download) i paused it and click the button to restart but my laptop stuck at aromatic repair for more one and half hour then I am scared so I push power button for 10 seconds and turn off my laptop and then, when i restart my laptop it has black screen with big cursor like big cursor. Then i think it's a hdd problem so i unplugged it then replugged but it stuck at company logo so how can i format my hdd please anyone tell me
it says pred fail when i typed wmic diskdrive get status i use both ssd and hdd i have windows on ssd but my hdd has problems so i think its saying ok on second line so pred fail is on hdd what does that mean how do i fix it?
My d drive went i think its because i was shutting down wrong or smthin because whe i turned it back on it was gone and when i tried to do command for d instead of c it said cannot open volume for direct accses
Windows is suggesting my drive to get scan and fix. It look normal to me, but the next boot i forgot to skip check disk, and now the hard drives contain all the data got corrupted. And i can't access the drive. Thank so much windows 😅
i know this is a old video but I was wondering if you knew why my pc would be showing good on everything ive tried but when i do chkdsk it shows errors and when I boot up my pc it always trys to repair my c drive
Could be the boot sector is busted. You will want to try booting your Pc in safe mode then running the check disk again. If that doesn’t do it , you may need to reimage it with windows 10

You’ll need to pop it into a computer that does in order up attempt any repairs that I listed. You can run the same fixes just add the drive letter for the effected hard drive
@@LuckyStrikeTechi know this is possibly unrelated but i have xbox one series s with a fairly aged 2tb seagate hdd and it did say it had a broken disc table damage when i checked and formatted but it’s problem keeps occurring so it could be it’s life span or in your case ransomware but it’s only connected to my xbox and downloads games assumingly from xbox servers so does that mean hackers put small bugs in those data streams?
I did something dumb! 🥹 help I can barely see the screen it’s soo glitched out . Fkn wit partitions and now I think the hard drive is screwed and needs to be repaired
