Not hating on the guys, but this is the best video with the best results I’ve seen so far. Well polished (I don’t mean the manicure-though they are also well polished).
Thank you! If you have a larger crack/hole check this video out it may help ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7sOE0CmNWlU.html And thank you again!
@@WhatTheFoxSherriFox - One other question about that. Now my tub is I guess older. The entire tub and inner showet wall is smooth, no tiles. Anyway, how can I go about coloring it right? I don't consider this an almond or biscuit color. I'd almost dub it a "light olive" color. Maybe I'm wrong though.
@@Chewbigga have you considered painting it? I just painted one not too long ago now you can give it a smoother finish and step up your sandpaper and use 200 300 400 grit after using 80 grit … Color matching it to spot paint it might be difficult ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xkA2zpLgmCU.html
Hi my favourite, I want to relocate my standing shower faucet. How to fill old faucet hole . This maxx shower plastic wall. Not a fiber glass shower walls. Please respond quickly. This shower wall has 3” space from dry wall because it has 2x4 studs to support this shower wall in between drywall and standing shower wall..
It's definitely hard to wash off your fingers, but trying to use gloves is a total headache. Fingernail polish remover helps get it off your skin. I'm not nuts about having all these chemicals on my skin, but dang this stuff works so well.
Thank you for this video!! I had no idea this product existed! I hope you can answer this for me. If you have a really long crack in the base of tub (you know where you stand and move around on), will this stand up to a persons weight once fully cured? Right now I've been using Flex Seal Paint and it eventually starts to come up so I have to redo it every 6 months or so. This seems more of a permanent fix but I'm just not sure if weight put on this method will work. Also do you think putting the Flex Seal Paint over it will ensure a greater safe fail for any water or mold getting through to the floorboards? The person who installed this tub didn't do it correctly causing the new tub to crack at pressure points. This is an apartment so I don't want to incur any charges once I leave. Just looking for the best solution to fixing this darn tub.
The lady lotus recommended a good video that may help in your situation for some reason the link didn’t appear public so I am reposting... it’s a great video that may help you ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6viyWyjWL8E.html
Well, I didn't knead it long enough and now 2 days have past and its still tacky. Oh well, hopefully one day it will solidify. Should have watched your video 1st.
If it’s tacky take it out throw that away, you already have a hole in your tub so it’s not going to matter... follow the steps in my video and do it again, knead it until it starts getting a little warm and becomes one color, fill the hole check after 1-2 hours ... keep me posted and let me know how it turns out! 😉
@@WhatTheFoxSherriFox I picked out what I could and replaced it with better smooshed up stuff. It hardened up like it should and just currently letting it ride until I can borrow my friends small sander to finish it off. Thanks for checking back up.
@@mazzola7980 great news!👍 just remember you can always add a little more if for some reason it doesn’t sand smooth just by repeating the steps, I am glad it worked!
@@WhatTheFoxSherriFox I just read one of your comments about this issue with hardening - I think the person on Amazon did not knead it completely before applying it. That's the issue. Gonna get this stuff.
@@WhatTheFoxSherriFox Does it require some mesh behind the hole to keep it from sinking into the hole and for support until it hardens or does the stuff support itself while soft without collapsing into the hole (half dollar size hole) from your experience??
@@chrism.4544 no it doesn’t require any mesh it will support itself, if you have a hole that big you may have to apply some let it dry and then apply some more, but it should work…I have patched very large holes where handicap rails came down from and it worked beautifully…. Just be patient with it and keep me posted how it turns out!
I tried this. My reality with this stuff was that it needs to be mixed between your fingers to a uniform color. While doing this it will begin to adhere to the fingers. Once that happens it adheres thicker and faster. I have no idea how she did this with a French manicure. You'll see.
Nope, wrap it in plastic wrap and put it back in the tube. Because you've squeezed the tip and mixed it some, it will start to harden if you just shove back in and close the cap.
Thank you for this helpful video! I was overwhelmed thinking of how to fix this! I'm a bit sensitive to strong odors. Dose this epoxy (and the paint you'll use in the next video) have a strong odor? And if so, does it go away quickly? Thanks again!
If it is just rust on the surface, try sprinkling some baking soda on a sliced potato and rubbing that on the rust spots, if the rust has eaten part of the porcelain, you can use this product to fill any dips that may have occurred after you clean it… See if this helps
Thanks for reminding me of this product. I used it some years ago to patch a hole in a shower we found at the share shack at our rural dump. Perfect for our cabin . However, I now have a nearly new tub to repair. Looks easy and won't run on a vertical surface . Didn't realize it was sandable. Good to know. Thanks again
Yes! I am trying this today with a hole in my bathroom sink. I have the pieces that broke off so I'm first going to glue those in THEN I will use the water weld to fill in the cracks and make it smooth. Thank you for the video to inspire me. ❤️
Thank you for the video! Do you have any suggestions for something that could be sprayed or painted over the patch to match the off-white/ almond/ biscuit tones of older tub inserts?
I am sorry I do not have any suggestions…You can paint the entire bathtub which I will leave a link below… but I am unsure if there is a way to try to color match that… I apologize for not being of more help.. thank you! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xkA2zpLgmCU.html
