Did this ring fall out of your Dyson cordless vacuum? Hopefully you didn't spend too much time trying to reattach it...because it cannot be reattached. Typically the plastic has broken so it cannot be reattached.
The good news is it is easy to fix. You can either fix it or replace the dust bin completely.
This is a very common Dyson SV12, V10, SV14, SV15, V11 issue. Rest assured you are not alone. Dyson does not make this part, they would like you to replace the entire bin. But some clever person commissioned someone in China to help create a replacement part. If you are wanting to replace the dirt cup, those are frequently unavailable too, so your only resort is to fix this with the sealing ring.
