Unfortunately typical diy repair the seat of the problem ie the broken tile you bodge up . Then you fit new roofing paper with a hundred fixing where did you think that was going to go . The tiles are there to keep 90 per cent of water out . Theres plenty of professional advice out there
We're going to get the whole roof's underlayment replaced in the next year or so. So far after a VERY heavy and wet El nino last winterr (and a downpour the last two days) we've yet to see signs of leaking so it's getting the job done for now. If that ends up not being the case I'll be the first to mention it in the comment section here.

Hell, thanks to this video you made, I will go do the same while full underlayment is replaced and possibly entire roof with the addtions they are being planned. Dont you just love it when Debbit Downers leave comments with wonderful energy on video uploads?
For the entire house between $10-14k. Should last another 23 years then at that point get new underlayment and tile... which by then will probably be 40k+
