Here we will show you how to quickly fix a nespresso machine that doesn’t pump waiter without taking the whole thing apart. Thank you and please enjoy!
I tried this with my new machine, and it was very cumbersome. I did a little more research, and you can prime the machine simply by lifting the lever on the machine (where you put the pods in) several times while the pump is running. This allows the machine to push the air out.
@ArraR1 Same here. It took 35 minutes in total. I had to stop at 15 minutes as the machine was getting hot. It appeared to be working great after 10 minutes as it went from zero to a low trickle but then back to zero after 5 more minutes. I decided to do the rest with a citric acid descaling solution. After 1 hour of letting the machine cool down, I tried again for 10 minutes.. still zero and still a bit hot so left it overnight. Tried again, and after another 10 minutes it finally worked again to the full glory. This is fantastic, especially since the machine is almost 6 years old!! It has mostly (75%) been used with bottled water due to living in an area with very hard water. Maybe I'll get very lucky with another 6 years of use, who knows! Thank You @namanj2 very much for your comment, it really did keep me going! And, of course, Thank You to this RU-vid tutor for an absolutely brilliant tutorial!! Sorry for such a long post but I thought it might be helpful to others with an "old" machine as mine. Wishing you all a great day, and Good Luck! 🙂🙏
I tried all these other videos with really ratchet solutions..inflated bags, hoses and syringes..straws 🤦🏻♂️- THANKFULLY I found your video that fixed my machine almost instantly after screwing around for 2 hours with things that weren’t even close to working. Thank you so much 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Just bought a new one and was so worried about needing to get it replaced. This video helped save me a lot of hassle. Thank you so much for this advice!
Thank you for this video! I have a Nespresso Lattissima that sat in storage for almost two years. I thought the machine went bad before trying RU-vid and lo and behold I came across your video. Took a good 15 mins with this method but I finally got the machine to pump. Descaled it then made a delicious cup of espresso. Thank you again!!!
Thank you! Tried to use my machine without water in it😫 thought I’d broke it but came here and saw your fix, much appreciated as it’s up and running again.
I watched the first few videos that popped up on a google search to repair this problem - one just beating the crp out of it, the next putting an inflated plastic bag in it - both epic fails (with those creators laughing secretly in my face)! This is the one that actually worked! Thanks so much! Now my 10+ yr old machine still going strong! A+++++
Thank you! My new Capresso ec100 had same issue. Loud and vibrating. Your truck worked. Thanks so much for sharing. I’m a dad and it’s Father’s Day and now its off to a good start
I had let my reservoir empty while making a coffee - that mistake created the airlock - your resolution fixed it!! I thought that I would have to replace my machine as I t is 5 years old, but, It’s all good, thank you
You a life saver Sir. Well at least you saved the life of my Nespresso. This worked perfectly. I had to try several times, but it eventually picked up and I ran a whole water container through. Well Done.
Thank you so much! I agree with Neal.....it only took 10 seconds and my machine was working like new! I am very grateful for your advise. Prior to this, I tried the 'blowing technique and it didn't work....it only made my face turn blue! So, once again, thank you for sharing. God bless you!
Thanks. I found your video after watching another one that showed how to completely take the machine apart to prime the line. This worked!!! Quick and Easy! Now I am enjoying my Nespresso coffee once again. Thanks for making this video!!
Yup, works a treat! Was given a machine that had been sitting in a cupboard for 2 years and wouldn't pump. This method fixed it on the 2nd run of lungo
Thanks for a great solution. The Nespresso C91 did not respond to the reservoir diddling, but the priming/pumping 🎉concept is spot on. A baby’s nose syringe with removable tip left a squeeze bulb that fit and sealed perfectly against the water intake hole where the reservoir fits. Fill the bulb with water, fit it over the water intake hole without spilling too much, hold it, turn on the pump, and gently squeeze until you have the pump primed by the pressure of your bulb-squeezing.
Thank you for sharing this, you literally saved me a lot of money lol I have a Lattissima machine and tried this too, took me almost half an hour just "stabbing" the machine with the container but it worked !!!!! Thank you so much :D
This works!!! I used a toddler medicine syringe and pushed a few rounds of water inside and the water finally came out!!! Thanks so much for the tips :)
Thought I'd have to return new machine. This worked in maybe 10 seconds. I could hear it catch (primed?) after three lifts. Thank you SO much!! Didn't have to take the machine apart, etc.
THANK YOU !!!! Ive been searching and searching for a remedy and didn't want to throw this out. I have the old C121 model and haven't used in a couple years. Got an itch again, ordered my capsules and the darn thing wouldn't work. Found your video and waa laa...hot water is coming through!!!
Omg! We were about the toss our machine! I thought, what the hack, give it a try. I thought it’s too simple, it’ll never work! Imagine my surprise!! Ty!,
The Universal mind of RU-vid saves the day again! I was one step away from tossing my classic, Nespresso Le Cube D180 in the trash, because none of the steps the Nespresso tech team proposed for "reactivating" the pump worked. This was after I finished some heavy-duty descaling. Then I took a shot in the dark and followed your procedure. Worked right away! That's definitely worth a like and a subscribe! QUESTION: My machine is missing the Drip Tray (Not to be confused with the Cup Shelf or Capsule Container). I already contacted Nespresso, and the have no more stock. Suggestions?
Hi, I don't know if you already found a solution but here's a suggestion: find someone with a 3D printer. The drip tray would probably be fairly easy to replicate, and literally thousands of part designs are available online.
Thank you! I went through the steps of opening the machine and try to solve the pumping issue but it didn't work, I almost was going to buy a new machine but you saved my pocket.
On my model it took quite some effort and time until I discovered how to move the water container up and down. But when I had found the right move it already starting pumping after 5 seconds. Thanks!!
Got HiBrew 4-in-1 to start without removal of water basin. Wish had got the hot/cold model. Just pushed up an down with it connected. I did push some black piece sitting over the water basin and the 2nd lungo try, hot water went in cup and out back of black piece into the water basin. Boy was I glad to see that. I made a 12oz cup of coffee using the lungo tab three times back to back; held tab for few seconds. Grateful because had ordered several cartridge adapters and didn't want to waste more money. Just have to find suitable coffee pods, capsules, reusables and a separate frother so I can have a variety. Thanks again 🙂
